I love apocalypse and farming stories but this mc is so stupid and naive
I genuinely hope Tanya does not get with Ivan, I hate political and arranged marriages or people trying to manipulate the mc
Currently caught up with the series and will continue to read it whenever new chapters come out. This is honestly one of my favorite series I’ve read and definitely a comfort read for me. What I love in this case is the farming, unique ways of raising plants and animals, and pretty interesting characters where some are long lasting. The plants are unique, that places and unique, and while there have been some issues with translation I’m at a place where I’ve only been reading well translated chapters for a while now. Not much else I can say without spoilers but if your worried he will be weak don’t worry about that.
I would assume you are correct or its suppose to represent her carefree attitude due to rebelling and hating her family
Probably keeps the window closed to make everything completely stable and there isn’t anything external that could change results. Also the liquid in the spray bottle could obviously be magical and have that effect on toxic gas. this isn’t earth
Mana is used in many other cultivation series
Please look at my review which explains why this book is problematic. Short answer is the author waits a while before starting to show how hateful they are towards others.
This book gets very racist, I read the fan mtl version up to around 600 and it gets increasingly worse. It doesn’t start immediately but the author makes it clear they are very narrow minded and mainly focus on stereotypes. Honestly if the story didn’t have those elements this story is really good but sadly it does. If anyone wants an example I will give a few. I don’t have specific chapters since I didn’t write them down while reading. If you really want to find them it’s mostly past chapter 300 on fantmtl when these things happen. - talks about black people looting and rioting because that’s what they naturally do - Israeli politicians in America think of themselves as a superior race, perpetrating stereotypes that Jews secretly control the world (very stupid I know) - this one isn’t racist but the author likes China mainly because it’s the one of the only countries that doesn’t get shit talked. The reason this is relevant is because the author constantly talks about how horrible the American government is (as an American I don’t disagree) but never calls the Chinese government out and even glorifies them a bit. It’s just strange There are plenty more examples and I’m going to assume some will say “why are you surprised, it’s a book about an evil person/cultivator”. To that I say it’s very clear that the author has a lot of hate and prejudice against others and it has nothing to do with the story’s theme. At best it’s a shitty excuse to try and justify crappy behavior that the author wants to spread. Don’t waste your time with this story.
