The fact that Tom was not suspicious of him despite having never seen him is weird. Also, Gringotts would not trade pounds for galleons since muggle money is worthless to them. The only reason they do it for students is because a contract must have been established between the ministry and gringotts allowing students to convert a fixed amount of pounds into galleons.
Excellent story. The main character growth is stunning. The background interesting, but it's the MC cheat that really makes this story shine as it keeps the interest strong on an otherwise slice of life atmosphere.
The author is a genius :D Made me laugh so hard. But why the f is it named Killer Instinct Aura. It makes it sounds like it's an incredible ability. Plus, why aura?
Thanks for the chapter Why does he even need to help granny cross the street, there arent any car?
Thank you for translating this. Seems like a really good novel for how witty the author is making Obito be. Was smart and funny so far. Do you have some recommendations of other witty novels? I too love fanfics of Naruto, Bleach & harry potter that takes place one generation at least before the main story starts.
Yeah the beginning was really great with nice ideas. It was inspiring to read. But it quickly became something similar to a slice of life story.
Background: We haven't seen much. The focus is really on the MC trying to benefit from his system. The ship remain mostly unexplored, we don't know where the ship is, if it can communicate with the Federation. Where the colonial planet is, when they'll reach it. We don't know anything about the aliens and why people don't know about them since the military have been fighting them for some time. Characters: Limited. We are only shown the surface of the characters. We have no clue for the motivation for the crewmembers or their past. Plot: I'm confused about this one. The goal of the MC is vague. He talks about the game's objective: to kill all humans. However, this isn't a game so it seems he wants to take control of the ship and turn the humans into his followers. To survive? However, the way the plot affect the MC is weird. For some reasons there are two factions which reminds me of Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzo. The mysterious faction wants to kill him but we have no clue why. Which is super weird cause there's no reason for higher ups in a colonial ship to want to kill a doctor & partner of a lieutenant commander. One one side it is forced since we have no clue why people are suddenly killing each other onboard the ship. And on the other hand, it's weird for a faction to be willing to kill people and use violence on the ship. It's as if the ship isn't a lawful colonial ship but a ship ruled by a chaotic force. Conclusion: Read up to chapter 23. There is an effort to have a plot in the story but it is shrouded in secrecy. We are not told about the background of the ship, the past and goals of the characters and why people are trying to kill the MC. Honestly, it feels like a slice of life with an extreme focus on upgrading his skills from the system and evolving. The MC has no interest in doing things outside of growing as a parasite so the world feels constrained to him only. Everyone else is shrouded in shadows.
I like the plot so far. For once, the plot isn't directly linked to the MC to create his motivation. Instead, it's linked to the global political scene and only indirectly affect their family. Want to see more :D
Even if purity can be increased, I still don't think it's okay to put his potential behind a paywall where he has to do certain actions to increase his own talent. It's basically giving him a freebie in the form of his spiritual root (either good or bad) and then limiting it with his purity, asking him to pay in time, effort or resources to increase it. Even MC in novels are faced with paywalls nowadays...
What's the point of this world having spiritual roots and purity if the two limit each other? It's like having a pump that can absorb 50L of water per second but having a hose that can only take in 20L at a time. Each one is useless on its own, the weaker one determine how efficient it is.
