basically every "living(includes shinigami)" has 2 other vital "organs" that connect to the soul and basically do bunch of stuff which includes absorbing reishi(spiritual particles), if you have seen some of bleach, what byakuya does to Ichigo when rukia is kidnapped is basically sever these 2 organs, which would kill a normal person, soul etc

Instead of this above, we get a mc that gets sealed for potentially years again, faces no real consequences for staying in a situation like that when he could easily dip and that when he gets out will have 0 real interactions with his growing family which he said would try to prevent.
