Well this novel is an interesting read. It is nicely translated though I have come across a number of issues that I can only put down to laziness in not rechecking the work. Story begins with the author (studying to be a movie director) being expelled from his University on charges of racism. Amusingly the MC is Chinese and the accuser was African-American. Anyhow the charges are false but of course it’s a case of he said, she said and so he is booted. Whilst wallowing in misery he gains the ability to see movies from the future after being hit in the head by a baby stroller. So that’s is his super power, knowing future movies and being able to plagiarise them. No system, no special powers. The book itself reads well and has a nice story but that is it. I have nothing else to praise it over. The narrative is smooth but there is no grab to it. How many times can the MC direct a movie, produce a movie, invest in XYZ affiliated movie industry? I read up to about chapter 150 and even though I did enjoy reading the story, there was nothing to keep me invested in this. I appreciate the effort the author took to try and keep accuracy in his story however it again it felt like rinse and repeat of previous achievements. I really wanted to be invested in this and did give it a decent go, but it wasn’t to be. The author has decent skills so maybe he could have done this in another manner to keep readers involved. I did note some comments were 4 years old with only 251 chapters released. I suspect this was a trial read that never made the cut back then and WebNovel has pulled it out of the cupboard to see if it can make them some money. Overall it felt good but sadly I had to give up.

Didnt the author mention sweetheart in conjunction with Juno? Another company made a teen pregnancy film?

Finding the MC rather immature and lacking in a number of ways. So far he seems to be all about himself and a small nod to the friends and acquaintances he has. I would like to see a little more humanity in him, rather than this one track mindedness. Whether or not he hooks up with the LI is another matter, but he appears to be rather lacking in understanding emotions.

Author has lost the plot

This one is just a waste of time. The book is a poorly translated novel that I feel was initially written by a high schooler. The context is virtually a literal translation. The translated words are ok however when reading the novel it fails to deliver a compelling narrative. Story is about your typical poor MC, low self esteem, who can only boast that he has 2 degrees completed in education , however can only work as a basic janitor for a job at a Gym. He cleans, does reception work and is bullied or despised by his colleagues. Seriously I’d despise the muppet as well with the way he acts. Anyhow he receives a superpower when he is struck by lightening and gains the ability to enter digital data. Now this is an interesting concept which had my attention, but then the delivery of this just fell woefully flat. I really hoped it be good but I couldn’t take the flat delivery of words. The character is simply unlikeable. Of course the China is great is emphasised often, which is quite the norm for translated novels. Anyways, the MC just has no redeeming features that could maybe save this but after 13 chapters I was more put off with the flat, monotone, delivery of this. Again, as mentioned, the theme and concept is really interesting (echoes of the 1992 movie The Lawnmower Man) so yeh vastly disappointed.

This novel is beginning to affect my appetite. It’s becoming cloying pathetic. If this guy did this in the real world he be already dead and buried. On top of that, he is still a basic loser

Geez this MC is a tool. Seriously wanders into someone’s house a speaks such invasive horsesh*t. I wouldn’t be surprised if the guy gets mugged. Kinda hope he did. He was a pauper so should have some idea of life but looks like he is still clueless

Hopefully this doesn’t turn out to be a strength is everything type of novel and woman should be left in the kitchen. These novels are rather stale.
