yup, the characters are not great. but Grover is a satyr, he is supposed to be lustful.
The whole movie felt like a giant middle finger to the creator, Rick Riordan. as someone who loves myths, the books are great. the movie is entertaining though largely differ in characterization. the new series had Percy's character much better, but everything else is meh
In my previous life when I was watching the movie, it gave me the feeling that the whole show was a parody or something similar. The second one was even worse than the first one. So I had no interest in the books at all.
