Really surprised that no one else has commented on how the song Bobo starts playing is the theme song from "Spongebob Squarepants". I love the cultural references in this novel.

It's hard to know if the author is perpetually drunk, lazy, or terrible. Stats, systems, levels, society, names - everything gets changed within a few chapters. I found myself skimming the last few chapters before I stopped because there's no point in remembering anything because the author will just retcon it again, later. It's so bad I've started reflecting on my life that brought me here. How can I read 95 chapters of utter trash before finally deciding to evict it from my mind? Today would have been more productive if I literally lied in bed instead of touching this atrocity. The story is formulaic. The characters are one dimensional. The writing and planning is awful. I'm pretty sure the principal is how the author views himself - someone who's "super cool" for changing his mind on the toilet. Please don't like this novel just because you have lots of spare time and read everything you find. Have the decency to have a bottom line in how you waste your time.

Only a novel written in the racist and uber-nationalist "Dragon" country would you see a protagonist who gains supreme power and within 50 chapters goes to wipe out Japan and plans to follow it up with Korea and the US. Only the "dragons" have the perspective of an offended goldfish - remembering every imagined slight and treating it like oppression while conveniently forgetting their many attempts to dominate and control their peers with underhanded attacks and sophistry. It's just like a bully to pretend to be a victim to garner sympathy. I guess what I'm saying is that apparently the translator mistranslated "hypocritical grudge-wielding toddler" as "dragon". Or the author.
