Problem is the world doesnt work like in canon anymore. Aangs adventure wouldnt work when he is 18. All the themes original story talks about doesnt work anymore. Kids not killing other kids doesnt work anymore, because 18years will start killing. Essentially it becomes such a heavy AU that there is no point in reading it if you want X fanfiction to read.
