Aye, originally I wanted to include Zabuza/Haku development, but that'll have to be in a later chapter. I did make a hint at the end from Haku, and it ties into the next two chapters or so. Will make sure that Naruto revisits Wave later on, since the reason I added the arc was because it had some relevance to my canon divergence! Glad ya enjoyed!
What did you guys think overall? (This chapter, or the Wave arc in general) I sorta had a vision of something like this happening when I decided to add the Wave arc. Obviously, it's a little different from what I intended, and I don't know if it fully captured what I wanted, but it's probably my favourite chapter so far.
Glad ya liked it. I got them confused with Gozu and Meizu, thinking they were B-ranked threats, and since they specialised in Kenjutsu I thought it would show Naruto's progress. Do you think this version is better? Its a bit more focused on humour, even if the result is the same
Yup, it was actually why I decided to use the word ^^
Yup, sorry about that! There was a little problem with one of the scenes in the chapter and I had a big misunderstanding about the samurai (Waraji and Zori) and their strengths. Just fixed the chapter now, so will republish it. Sorry about that
I answered it in another comment, but the name was a play on Naruto often being associated with foxes, and Inari being the name of the God of foxes. Tbh the first half of the chapter (specifically the parts where Naruto was struggling to forgive) should have been included in the previous chapter since it was a continuation of Kakashi's apology. Had quite a few comments on the ending of last chapter (with Naruto just accepting the apology) and comments on this chapter (with Naruto's sudden perspective) and it overall being a bit choppy. So next time this issue hopefully won't occur.
That's understandable, but my goal was for him to come across as struggling to teach Genin-level ninja. ANBU IIRC usually involves Chunin/Jonin level ninja which means they would have a much more solid understanding of techniques and the basics. It would be like a university professor teaching GCSE students, they might know how to do it, but the knowledge and methods wouldn't be the same. Could change it to make it clearer if need be, so more like he is adapting the methods he learnt in ANBU to Genin-level?
Thought it would be a fun play on words since 'Inari' is said to be the name of the god of foxes. Since Naruto is often associated with foxes (whether it is because of his whisker marks or being Kurama's Jinchuuriki), thought it might fit. What do ya think? Too cheesy? Can change it if need be
Been using Drawabox.com over the past few days and it's super fun. (At least for me who likes to do tedious things). I'm a big fan of the whole structured approach to learning how to do something.
While I did feel it was somewhat necessary to go into some detail behind Kakashi's changes, It was a pretty tough write tbh! The number of revisions/changes I had to make because I felt Kakashi was too OOC was insane, haha. Sorry if it wasn't your cup of tea, hopefully the next few chapters are better in that regard.
It used to be Wed/Sun, but it's been pretty hard to keep up with that ngl! I will try to work out a more reasonable schedule based on how long it would take me to write the hardest chapter. The next chapter should be sometime next week though!
I agree! Wasn't able to reply to your chapter comment, but I was planning something similar. Or well it would be more like forgiveness isn't so easy and both of them know it. Thanks for the comment, and hope you have been enjoying so far!
Hey no worries! Probably should have added it in the author's notes but it is pretty hard to convey everything in a single chapter. But basically, this is almost entirely from Kakashi's perspective, next chapter will dive a little into Naruto's thoughts about the matter. Although Naruto said that he forgives Kakashi, saying is easier than doing, so there will be a process to this. Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoyed so far!
