One of the best novels on this site. It is sometimes slow but both writing quality, character development and world building are beyond exceptional. The author takes a realistic and pragmatic approach on the main character's development hence why he starts weak and gets stronger over time (both in terms of personality and martial prowess). Although the main character does eventually become become overpowered, it is a slow process. This IS NOT a fast food novel like most on this site. If you are searching for sign in or broken system novels with no suspense or meaning, this is not the book you are looking for. Underrated novel which deserves a lot more readers than it currently has. One major fault I found with the novel is the too many fight descriptions of other people during tournamentes (they can span over multiple chapters) and not only slow down the novel but detract a lot from my personal enjoyment.
How is this novel ranked so higly? Every dialogue makes me cringe and half of what is written doesn't even make sense. Small extract from chapter 6: "Aren't magic circles considered magic?" "Yes magic circles are considered magic" "Then why can't you use them?" "Because magic circles are not really magic circles." What? Overall very low effort writing and mc IQ has reached zero KELVIN. As of chapter 6 I can't keep reading any further. I wish the author good luck but I can't recommend this book to anyone.
Sadly, that is true. There are some good novels on this website but most of them are translated (and even then most of the translations are trash). Good original novels with actually good plot are few and far in between. The issue is that the average reader base seems to like this kind of 0 effort novels so it has become a problem.
