The Threat of Xander Hall

"Where is he now?" Magnus De La Rue asked over the video call.

Nathaniel nodded to his sister, giving her permission to answer.

Emilia De La Rue stood up, based on her attire, a pair of jeans and a tank top with a leather jacket over it, Nathaniel assumed she had just returned from one of their Mafia bases.

"He's still outside of the state of Franklin," Emilia reported, her voice steady and firm. Nathaniel couldn't help but feel proud with how his sister commanded everyone's attention in the room.

"That's too close for comfort," Magnus told his grandchildren.

"We know," Nathaniel said with small nod. It was too close to Maya, to Gabriel, to his mother, to the twins. They were the people he so desperately wanted to keep away from Xander.

"He is being monitored by our people day in and day out," Emilia told her grandfather in the hopes of assuring him that everything was well. "He won't be able to make a move without us knowing."
