Escape the Date
"Okay, what do you want me to do?" when Emilia heard Maya ask this she felt a little bit more hopeful.
She had initially been worried that Maya couldn't pick up her call. She knew that like her brothers, Maya was probably in an important meeting, on top of that she didn't want a pregnant woman running around to come save her, but she was desperate.
"I need you to call me in ten minutes and say you urgently need my help," Emilia said as she thought of her plan to rush out and head back to the office for work.
No one would scold her for rushing to Maya's side and then heading back to work.
There was a silence at the other end of the line as Maya considered her plan.
For a moment Emilia was worried Maya would refuse, she didn't know why, but for some reason, she felt like Maya wanted her to stay and see things play out.
"Okay, I'll help," Emilia let out a breath of relief when Maya agreed. "But I think your plan needs some improvement."
