Dinner at Amor

Maya sat looking out the window of one of the most popular restaurants in the city.

It was almost on the top floor of the highest building in Arlington, the same building that DLR Enterprises called their home. It was also owned by Alistair De La Rue and was aptly named, Amor.

According to rumors, it was Alistair's declaration of love to the young madam of the Miller family and the menu was based on her favorite food.

Maya knew the second half of that wasn't entirely right.

The menu was based on what she, Nathaniel, and their son Gabriel liked. The menu changed every few months just as the child's taste changed. It was a subtle announcement of the fruits of their love.

Ten minutes, he was ten minutes late.

Maya frowned as she looked at her phone and then back to the stunning views of the city.

She didn't bother to listen to the whispers of people around her.

Maya sat at the most coveted table in the restaurant, but she sat alone.
