The Night After Wedding

Adrian and Avians' wedding was very lavish and festive, considering it was the wedding of a billinaoire of a very famous company.

However, when they found out that the woman the billionaire married was an ordinary woman, the media headlined their wedding as a 'Cinderella Wedding'.

For Adrian, being at such a big party even in the midst of so many people was very common, but for Avians, it was beyond what she had ever thought of.

She was indeed in awe of her own wedding, from the decorations, the dress, the cake and everything. But she felt uncomfortable with all the eyes looking at her.

However, lucky Adrian understood how his wife felt. He kept holding her, making her feel protected.

The two sat down behind the table to enjoy their meal as well. Avians blue eyes looked at the table in front of her and found one pastry that caught her eye.

"Do you want that? You can eat it, enjoy our wedding meal," Adrian said taking the pastry and feeding it to Avians.

"Ehh... I can eat it myself."

"It's okay, just one bite..." the man replied.

Embarrassed, Avians took a bite of the pastry Adrian handed her. Her favorite blueberry flavored pastry felt like it was melting in her mouth, the taste of chocolate and blueberry becoming one in it.

From Avians' face, Adrian could tell that Avians' expression had turned very calm and was enjoying the pastry she was eating.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes, blueberry... My favorite. Coupled with chocolate, it's really good..." explained Avians with a smile.

"That's good. I think there are more blueberry flavored pastries around, I'll ask the waiter to bring some for you." Adrian gave the pastry Avians was eating into the woman's hand.

A waiter brought a plate of assorted small cakes and pastries with chocolate and blueberry flavors.

Avians' smile became even more obvious as her eyes glittered. Adrian couldn't help but laugh, seeing how his wife loved those flavors. He rubbed her head.

"Make yourself comfortable." He was glad that Avians could finally enjoy the event. 'So food can calm her down...' he thought.

As they were enjoying their meal, a man came over to congratulate them, which he shouldn't have said while they were enjoying their meal.

"Hey hey hey Adrian, congratulations on your wedding, buddy.." said the man with orange hair.

Adrian's eyes glanced at the man before turning his head to get a better look at him.

"Leon," Adrian said.

"Yes, this is your friend. Did you forget, huh? I didn't expect you to get married. I thought you'd just be busy with your work without thinking about marriage." said the man named Leon.

"Well, I found someone to marry. You know you can't come near here now, right? It's time for me and my wife to take a break."

Leon laughed amusedly at Adrian's remark. He knew Adrian was not a man who was interested in romantic things during this time, because he always pushed all the women around him away. He didn't even seem interested in them.

Avians watched their conversation without being able to do anything about it. Adrian looked very different from the usual she knew, the way he spoke to Leon was very cold and flat, different from Adrian who was warm and full of smiles at her.

The orange-haired man then turned to Avians. "And you, Avians, right? I'm just saying that maybe your marriage is like a fairy tale, but believe me it's true, and the love between the two of you will also only exist in fairy tales. You know what I mean, it's not real and it won't be real," Leon said.

"Ehhh?" The woman was somewhat surprised to hear Leon's words to her.

"Leon!" Adrian sounded like he didn't like what Leon said, his gaze was so sharp at the man.

Leon just laughed at him and walked away leaving the two of them alone.

Instantly, the situation between them became somewhat different. Avians thought about what Leon had said to her.

Their love... Will never be real? It's all just a sweet lie like... A fairy tale?

In the midst of her confusion, Adrian took Avians hand and looked at her worriedly.

"Don't listen to what he says, Avi. Leon always says such annoying things. What he says isn't true, so I hope you won't think about it," Adrian explained.

"Yeah, alright. But is he an old friend of yours?" asked Avians.

"We were in the same class at university, we were in business class together. You could say he's also an heir to another big company although not as big as mine. He is very playboy and flamboyant, I hope you don't get close to him if he shows up again," pleaded the man.

Hearing all that, Avians nodded. She didn't want to get close to such a man either, the look in his eyes, seemed to want to pounce on her.

The wedding party continued until one in the morning, finally the invited guests and the media had left the party. Adrian and Avians went straight home to Adrian's residence which was now their home.

"Your things will be moved to my room tomorrow, now we'll sleep together. You don't mind, do you? Or do you want to sleep alone?" asked Adrian.

"I-I... I..." Avians wanted to say that she wanted to sleep with Adrian, but she was so embarrassed to say it when they were now husband and wife. Her face turned red looking at Adrian.

"Okay, okay, I know. Come on." Adrian took Avians by the hand into his room which was immaculate and decorated with lots of newlywed decorations.

In the corner of the room were many gifts from the guests who attended the party.

"You must be tired, we'll open the presents tomorrow. You go ahead and take a shower, or do you want me to bathe you?"

Instantly Avians face turned redder at this. Adrian chuckled at his wife's shocked and embarrassed expression. She ran into the bathroom to clean herself up.

Adrian took off his suit and loosened his tie and sat on the bed. He looked at the rose petals on his bed with a blank stare.

A few minutes later, Avians came out of the bathroom wearing the nightgown Adrian had ordered for her. The purple nightgown was thin and only partially covered her thighs, making her feel a bit embarrassed wearing it. But she only wore it in front of her husband.

'Ian is now my husband, so I guess it doesn't matter...'

Actually she was more afraid of what they would do afterwards. When she came out of the bathroom, Adrian was already wearing the same pair of pajamas as her. He had taken his shower in Avians room earlier.

"You're very beautiful, Avi..." said Adrian as he approached her and led her to the bed.

"Thank you..." Avians heart was racing again, she was looking forward to what they would do after this considering it was their first night.

Adrian laid Avians down on their bed then pulled her by the waist into his arms. Avians was a bit surprised as this was the first time she was in a man's arms.

"Ian?"

"Hmn? You must be tired, today's party was very tiring. But the good thing is that everything went well..." Adrian replied gently rubbing Avians' head. "Get some sleep, we better get some rest..." he continued.

Avians nodded and closed her eyes. "Good night, Ian."

"Night Avi." The man kissed his wife's forehead then closed his eyes as well.
