Xin Yan and the Dragon God

What is one thing that we all need so much and can't get enough of? Is it love? nope, is it wealth? nope, then what is?

The answer is time! I know it right, you would say that is easy but you didn't get the answer on your own when I asked you, nevertheless let's go; This is all I can feel anyway, seeing people walking around with their loved ones on new moon eve, the bustling of market people, people performing tricks and children running around the place, it is trilling and me on the other hand I'm just sitting on a pavement along the market way begging money from passers-by and from travellers who take pity on me, funny enough most of them are just walking as if they can't see me sitting here under this hot sun, well I won't pray for rain, oh my God why would someone want me to pray for rain?

Today is not my lucky day or so it seems.

Well I know what you are thinking, can't you get up and do something for yourself or where are your family? Well lest I forget I am currently blind and lame ( meaning that I can't see and I can't walk by myself.....….....)

Let me tell you my story ; It all began like this.

This place we are right now is called Clear sky county it is one of the most famous counties in the Flowing Cloud continent, don't ask me how big it is, because the truth is, this is the only place I have been to all my life, thanks for asking, my Name is Xin Yan, I am four years old this year and today is my birthday, most of the times I hear people talking about celebrating birthdays but me, I have not been to one because no one would invite a blind and a lame little girl to their house party.

I come from a family of three, myself, my mother and my father. By the way we come from a very rich family, well that's what I heard, my Father is the eldest son of Clear sky county king then you would ask me then you are a princess? Yes and no!

To my parents yes I am a princess, but not to my grandparents because no one wants to see me and it was decreed that no one should call me the princess of clear sky county just soon after I was born. I can't really blame them because it is my fate. On the night I was born there were thunder storms, lightning bolt descending on the royal palace, because of this signs my grand father the king called for a seer and it was told that I will destroy the order of things and this will bring great calamity upon the royal house hold.

And there was a preposition that my life be ended to avoid all these calamities. But being that my mother loved me so much and my father loved my mother so much he pleaded with my grand father to make him an outcast of the palace. Well they didn't agree at first but my father threaten to take his life and out of the love my grandparents have for their son they eventually sent us out of the palace and because of the hardships we were facing my mother passed away when I was three years old and I was left in my father's care who is also a cripple. So there you have it, that is my story and on every market day i will by the help of neighbours find my way to the market to beg for arms, I know a lot of people and have friends now because I can recognize their voices, that reminds me smile, I have been coming here since I was two years of age.

My father will always tell me before leaving the house you were born with love, we both love you even though your mother is not here , just know that she loves you so much and my answer has always been I know.

Yes can I say that I am the bread winner of my family well you can see it that way, I usually buy what we would use until the next market day, although it's usually not enough because of those stinging young masters who can not even help the blind lame me, they are busy wasting their money buying useless things and will end up spending their night at the peach blossom brothel's. Don't ask me what is a brothel? well I am older than my age in thought, you cannot expect me not to know anything after all that I have been through right? okay let's go back to our question; a brothel is a place where stinging young masters pay beautiful young sisters to sing, dance and the most important thing is drinking of wine and gossip people yes what better thing can stinging people do besides wasting of money when they could have given it to me, how I wish I could just go and give them good beating of their lives "henhenhen", it's not my fault anyway.

This is our currency coins and since I came it is noon already and I have only gotten two silver coins I'm truly furious right now . I am a shameless person, if you have been through what I have been through then you will definitely forget about shame.
