18. Vacation?

"Mom, can I go visit that world for one full moon." Li Na looked at her cutely.

"What? Why?" Li Jiang paled as she thought about such a thing.

"First of all to learn more about that world and second... Mom, it's awkward around you two. You can't do this to dad." She pointed at his big eyes staring at her sadly.

Looking between these two, Li Jiang was completely clueless about what was going on. With a perplexed expression, she looked at them and blinked. "What did I do?"

Li Na went to her and hugged her. "Mom, father and you need to go and have a honeymoon. At that time I can't stay alone and no, I can not be around two people that need some privacy. I'm a small child, don't do that to me."

Luke Coleman became serious as he saw anxiousness spreading on Li Jiang's face. "Sweety, will you be able to come back?"

Li Na nodded. "Yes. I am certain. But, mom, dad, can you help me with packing. I'll need clothes, shoes, gifts..."

Suddenly the three of them became more excited about her first trip. It was the first time for them to let her go. As they had no idea what the climate is like, whether there is war, will those people accept her... They chose to prepare everything and let her go only if they approve of her visit.

Li Jiang felt uncomfortable. "It feels like they have to accept you. Can't you just come with us and travel around?"

Li Na looked at a mountain of bags and shook her head. "No. I definitely am going there. Trust me, that place is currently safer than this one. War never came up to the capital and they are at the Generals estate. Who is that stupid to attack them?"

Luke Coleman could see her difficult expression as he saw the mountain of boxes and laughed. "Don't worry. We will ask what kind of weather they might have the next few weeks. You won't have to take it all. In one package are the ingredients for your sweets. That boy sure loves sweets."

Li Na chuckled as she remembered his face when she caught him munching on cookies. Her eyes curved and she nodded. "The funny thing is, his grandfather loves it as well. Mom, did you pack enough bitter chocolate?"

She chuckled. "Don't worry. I put it all. Three boxes full of ingredients and seasonings."

Li Na went with them to buy all she needed to cook and bake. She must pay somehow for her staying.

This child completely forgot that she is not a grown-up person, then a tiny little girl.

Standing next to her parents Li Na waved her hand and smiled at the group of people that greeted them with warm expressions. "Hello. Nice to see you all again."

Li Na politely bowed and so did her parents. From the other side, the Wang family did the same.

Wang Weiming looked at the cute girl and found her truly adorable. If he had some time to play with her and show her this world...

General Wang felt strange as he could see their eyes becoming unfocused and worried. "May I ask, is there a problem?"

Luke Coleman came closer and scratched his head with a stiff smile. "Well, not exactly a problem. It is just that Li Na... she... ugh..."

No matter how he thought about it, he felt ashamed to ask some people to take her into their home for a while.

Li Na rolled her eyes. "Father, seriously? Such a mighty man feels awkward to ask a favour."

The Wang family became even more curious now.

Wang Weiming came closer and looked straight at her. "You can trust me, right?'' He saw her nodding. " Then tell me. I'll make it happen no matter what it is, as long as I am able to."

His simple words made her smile. "I can ask you about anything?"

He simply nodded. "Yes. Anything."

She looked at her parents then at him and clapped her hands happily. "Then please, let me spend my vacation here. Soon the school will start and I won't be able to come to this world anytime soon. Let me stay here until the next full moon."

First, they all froze, except him. He just opened his hands and motioned. "Come. I will catch you. You are safe in my arms."

Her parents and his parents just looked at each other and shook their heads. These two just make their decisions without warning them. Luckily Li Na asked her parents in advance.

General Wang wanted to say something but gave up as his wife harshly pinched him and pushed him aside. "Yes. We accept. Don't worry. Our Generals manor is one of the safest spots in the whole Empire. We have enough soldiers that no one would dare to attack us."

Li Jiang felt uncomfortable all over her body. Sending this child to the other world where she couldn't reach her no matter what happens, made her almost cry out loud. "Our Li Na is a sensitive child. Please, may I ask what kind of weather will you approximately have there? Is it spring, summer, fall or winter? Then... then..."

Li Na saw her almost panicking and rubbed her back."Mom, I give you my word that no matter what, I'm coming back. I love you both. You and pops. Please, work hard so I don't become a lonely child. I heard in my school that when people go on a honeymoon, they come back pregnant. Mom, dad, I count on you two. You definitely must give me a sibling."

The two dumbfounded people froze and suddenly felt her hugging them and slowly approaching the window.

With a face filled with confidence, Wang Weiming went close to the window and helped her coming through to his world. With a happy expression, Li Na hugged his neck and waved at her father.

"Pops, I think it is summer here. Can you give me my clothes and ingredients? And the protective gear." She called the two people that stood there with completely dazed eyes and red faces.

He snapped out of it and slowly picked up big boxes and sent them one after another through the open window. General Wang chuckled as he saw Wang Weiming tightly holding Li Na and gave up.

Just as he sent the last box, Li Jiang became aware of what just happened and jumped towards the window. "Li Na, sweety, you must come back. I... we will be waiting for you. And, and..." Tears started streaming down her cheeks.

"Mom, I love you too. Don't worry. I need to see my siblings, don't I?" She winked at her and made her blush again.

"Naughty, don't be so mischievous over there. Understood?" She sternly waved her finger.

Suddenly a small figure rose her hands and hugged her while Wang Weiming calmly held her. He knew they wanted to hug one more time, so he held Li Na high and steady.

He now felt happy and lucky for being so strong. From one side he could hold without her falling, from the other side, he was too anxious to let her go. It was his chance of being with her.

If she knew his thoughts, how would Li Na react...?
