Wish Upon Her Joy

Rating: 3.2 out of 5 / 6.4 out of 10 The concept of this novel is nothing really new, yet its implementation is far more convincing than in most of the other novels of that kind I've seen so far. While the writing quality is indeed not the best mainly in regard to sentence construction, this novel surely scores with character design. The way the author purveys feelings and the general conflict this novel adresses is also well done. I already enjoyed reading just for that. The way how the scenery in the plot is described makes the reading experience even better. Since it does not really include any action or something similar, however, the plot might appear drawn-out at times. Nonetheless, there is always a certain amount of suspense throughout the story due to the presented conflict, which makes you want to stick around till the end despite the overall quality dropping towards it. All in all, especially if you are a fan of bittersweet romance and drama with a great focus on its character setting, I can definitely suggest you to read "Wish Upon Her Joy".
