Selena's POV
Spending the last days of summer was the most challenging part after Skyler broke up with me. I felt like a living dead as I navigate my life under the pressure of my job and losing Skyler.
My dad and Gwen tried cheering me up, but I still felt alone and hurt. I shut them off by spending my free time alone in my room. I avoided family conversations ever since Skyler broke my young heart.
Stanley never failed in his promise to me; he constantly offered his shoulders to me to cry on. After a month, I cried less, but sometimes my tears just fell on their own.
I felt glad Skyler didn't come home after three months, or else my effort of trying to forget him would be useless, but still, I couldn't really say I was beginning to be OK because every time I was at the Academy, I couldn't stop thinking about him especially when I saw basketball players walking around the hallways after the practice.
