Universal Abduction
Death was a constant companion for Alex. He had seen many of those he trusted die helplessly and had been the cause of death for many others.
He had witnessed the life leave their eyes. No matter how unwilling, death was absolute.
It was one of the few things that was he understood in the world. This world of death and decay.
As he layed there, covered in blood, cuts, bruises, and gashes, he was dying. Surrounded by those he hated with every fiber of his being, his "brothers."
Regret consumed him. If only he hadn't been so overconfident in himself. Believing that his unparralelled strength was enough to make him remain at the top, he recklessly ignored others attempts to help and guide him.
Now he faced the consequences. So many things he could have and should have done differently. Yet there was nothing to be done now.
Feeling his consciousness slipping, he used what remaining strength he had to look at the man responsible for his dying state, Julian.
Someone who he trusted with his life, a mistake on his part, which lead to this very moment.
Looking into the man's eyes, he saw something, something thet made him smile even at deaths door.
Alex saw fear in the in the man's gaze, fear of himself. Seeing Alex smile, the man shivered, taking a step back instinctively.
Seeing this, Alex laughed, a laugh that drained him of the miniscule energy he had left, sending him to a world of darkness, a world of peace....
Or so he thought.
