17. Short Adrienette Chapter

Adrien walked out of the bedroom he shares with Nino, Nathaniel, Marc, and Luka, to the theater room. He was already dressed in his custom-made pajamas: black shirt and trousers with velvet green patterns complete with white socks with green lines. Once he walked into the theater room, he spotted the very person he's most happy to see, sitting on the stage in front of the screen. "Hey, there! What you doing, Bugaboo?"

"Ah! You scared me!" Marinette said, caught by surprise at the sight of her boyfriend and superhero partner. "And don't call me Bugaboo even if we're a couple now." Marinette was sitting on the stage, eating some of the pastries from the food buffet. "I'm just eating a little before bedtime. I also do that back at home."

"Mind if I join you? I'm kinda hungry myself since my father puts me on a strict model diet," Adrien pleaded with his kitten eyes in which Marinette giggled and nodded in response.

"I see you're dressed in Cat Noir colors," Marinette said, noting about his pajamas. "It actually looks nice on you."

"Back at you with your Ladybug-colored ones," Adrien said, noting about her pajamas. Marinette is wearing a red tank top and trousers with black spots.

"Thanks. But I think I look better in my regular pink silk ones. Remember those?" Marinette said and Adrien nodded, remembering the day Gorizilla attacked.

"So, how's your room?" Adrien asked.

"It's huge! I'm sharing with Alya, Alix, and Kagami. There's two other bedrooms: the second one for Mylene, Rose, Juleka, Chloe, and Sabrina. The last one is just for Lila and Miss Bustier," Marinette answered. "How about yours?"

"It's pretty huge too. I'm sharing with Nino, Nathaniel, Marc, and Luka. Only one other bedroom for Kim, Max, Ivan, and Mr. Damocles," Adrien answered.

"I can't believe our secret identities have been revealed to each other and everybody else here. What's Master Fu gonna think when he finds out?" Marinette said, getting worried.

"I'm sure he'll understand. I mean, this whole situation was beyond our control," Adrien said. "I just hope we don't have to return our Miraculouses as a result. I don't what I'll do without being Cat Noir. It's like something I've been waiting for in my whole privileged life."

"Oh, come on! Don't be so dramatic about this," Marinette said.

"Easy for you to say. You have an actual talent and dream outside of being a superhero: be a fashion designer. I, on the other hand, have no idea what I really want to do when I grow up. No one asked. And I don't want to be a model for the rest of my life," Adrien said, sadly looking down. Marinette put her hand on his shoulder in response.

"Adrien, you're really smart and you're really caring. With those qualities, the world is your oyster. You can be anything you wanna be no matter what. If, God forbid, you have to give up being a superhero, you won't be lost in your life. And whatever you wanna be, you at least will always have me for support, kitty," Marinette then said, bringing a smile from Adrien.

"How is it you always know the right thing to say?" Adrien asked curiously.

"From all this time being Ladybug I guess. So, as you see, being her is important to me too," Marinette said. "We'll figure all this out. I promise." The two then leaned on each other and lost themselves in a long passionate kiss. What they didn't notice is Lila hiding and eavesdropping on their conversation.

We'll see about that! Hawk Moth and I will destroy you, you goody two-shoes insect! And your father and I'll have you on a very tight leash, you stupid cat! All the glory and power will be MINE! Lila vowed to the two heroes in her head.
