In a bustling city filled with homo sapiens, moving around like they're busy, Marian also walked whist hugging her books close to her chest. She hopped around as she neared her school when (roll eyes) truck-san was spotted. Speed as fast as a racer, truck-san moved towards the lane, tilting side to side, and before she knew it, the post on her right is hit by the truck, and she is caught as well. Marian's expression changed from shock to a mocking smile. She was going to graduate in less than three months!

Sprawled on the ground, she used the last bit of strength she has to raise her hands and stick out her middle finger. F*ck!

Voices filled with worry entered her ears, and she was excited to wake up. She takes back the middle finger she had just given, but before Marian could rejoice, she became instantly taken aback by the unfamiliar designs of the room. There is a carved snowflake on the ceiling of the bed. The blanket she is colour violet with red flowers, big and small. She moved her body to check which part is injured, yet she didn't feel anything.

"Is...is this...?" She threw the blanket and got out of bed, leaving the covers and directly searched the room for a mirror. Unfortunately, when she got out, she caught the attention of the two maids taking care of her, and she was forced to go back to the bed. After a series of asking questions and checking her temperature, one left to inform the Marquis of her situation and the other left to bring up her medicine.

Marian, the now Athena Marielle La Denfir took this opportunity to walk towards the mirror and confirm her situation, and she was right. She has read about the novels of isekai genre and to think that she experienced one! She touched the pretty face of the body she now occupies. After that, she racked her brains of what novels she had read, and the latest one is the novel of a Japanese author. "The future duke is proven wrong. There IS true love!"

'The future duke is proven wrong, there IS true love!' revolves around two people, the heir of Duke Gandrie, Kaine Mel Gandrie and a daughter of an Earl, Irene Wrae, a sickly person. Both people met at a banquet in the imperial palace where both danced together. Kaine thanked Irene for the beautiful dance when he noticed that she was gasping. He helped her sit down, and that was the time when both started becoming close to each other. Kaine sent letters to ask of her health, and Irene responded with sweet words. Days after the banquet, the fiancé of Kaine, our villainess Athena who had her body taken over, went mad with jealousy and spread rumours of the weak heroine Irene. In the future banquets and tea parties, she would especially come close to Irene and remind her to know her place, reminding her that Kaine is already taken. Irene finally decided that she would distance herself from Kaine, but Kaine caught her obvious action and asked her why. Kaine rushed to Athena's residence and confronted her, also speaking to Athena's family about breaking up the engagement, but his actions only made Athena's abuse even worse. In the end, Athena died after she threw a glass towards Irene because Irene moved to the side, and the glass was thrown to the young eight-year-old crown prince. Then the other two people lived happily ever after! Yay!

No!!! Since she is now Athena, Marian, the occupier, swore to protect herself from death and to avoid entangling with the romance between the two lovebirds. She swears to allow them to have a good journey.

Woosh! The wind blew in from the open balcony door, and at this moment, bits and pieces of memories entered her mind, becoming one with her memories. With these few pieces of memory, she was able to get the general picture of her life.

Athena was always active, always in tea parties, and the same towards everybody. She was very honest about her feelings and asked for proof before she believes anything. She was loved by her family, her father, her mother, her brother, and especially her younger sister. Her favorite flower is rose and likes eye-catching and dark colors. She likes to follow reality instead of dreaming of soft fantasies. She is very beautiful and holds her pride along with her face. Even if she is evil in her own way, Athena surprisingly has a few true friends despite the fake masks of the others, and she was childhood friends with Kaine. Both of them were engaged when they were children. She at least didn't go for the neck of Irene. Although her pride really is great and her main character is her arrogant attitude.

It is also unfortunate that Marian, the soul residing inside Athena, isn't our protagonist in this book. She is a vital character but not the main focus. Our main protagonist is Athena herself!

Yes, the lady gritting her teeth, brows furrowed, and blood boiling due to madness. 'How dare somebody take my body! Witch! '

Ghost Athena slapped her own body, but her hands passed through, and no physical contact was made. Only a slight wind was created due to the motion. A slap followed by another slap and another one, but there was nothing. Her violent motion was stopped by the sound of the door opening. Her dad, mom, and little sister entered, followed by the head maid, Greta, and the butler, Flavio.

"Athena!" her mom cried out and walked quicker towards Athena. She opened her arms and hugged Athena. Not her, but the Athena who has a physical form.

(I will be calling Marian in Athena's body 'Athena' while Athena will be called Athena as usual)

"Mother," Athena muttered and attempted to separate her mother form the witch, but her effort was useless. It finally dawned on her. She can't do anything. Athena raised her voice to her family, who are asking 'Athena' how she is. "Mother! Father! I'm not her! I'm here. Are you all blind!" "Reana, you're sister's here. Are you also blind? Do I not pat your head when I meet you?" But at this moment, she gave up. 'Athena' raised her hands and gave a slight pat on Reana's head.

Hah... Athena turned around and sat on her bed, watching as the four people chatted.

"You're smiling more than usual today, Athena. It must be because you just woke up." Her father smiled. Athena's mother also smiled and gave her daughter another hug. "No, I think its because the summer banquet is close and she'll be wearing the dress she has been waiting to wear.

Her parents laughed amongst themselves, and her sister played around with her long blonde hair.

"Then shall we have breakfast?" Her father said and glanced at the maid to help 'Athena' get dressed. "We'll be waiting for you downstairs. Reana, your sister needs to change, let her go."

Athena cursed. 'I see, you're getting quite comfortable using my body. You must've planned this carefully.'

After a week of being a wandering spirit, Athena found out about her circumstances. Unfortunately, she would begin to dissipate when she's away from her body so she can't leave it. Any movements she makes have little to no effect in the real world. When she uses up all her strength to attack, she could only make strands of hair move because of the wind she creates. In addition to that, she can not go back to her body no matter how much she tries. And she attempted quite a lot of times. However, there were some benefits, as well. She was allowed to traverse through walls and eavesdrop on some conversations. She could levitate, and she does not need to sleep or eat.

throughout the week, she was upset due to the fact that her family doesn't even question 'her'! 'Athena' made some excuses as to why she is acting a bit differently on some occasions and the measly excuse of 'I'm feeling unwell due to my fever last week' was actually accepted! Oh, how she wants to kick some sense into their brains, but what could she do but think of something and watch over her body so she could seize her body back if there were any moment to.

Another week later, 'she' has had completed adapting to Athena's life and was very used to it. She even orders some servants now! The servants show some favorable reactions as well. Betrayal!!!

It was the time of the ball. 'Athena' was all dressed up in red and black dress adorned with some pearls and laces. 'Athena' gave off a mysterious and thrilling aura, yet due to her relaxed face with a curious look, she was more like a cat instead of a tigress.

"Athena, let's go." Her father held her hand and escorted her inside. Their entrance was announced, and 'Athena' was instantly carried away by her friends, Dalia and Bethanie. Athena, the ghost who walks instead of fly because she deems it improper, gritted her teeth.

Now, you're even taking over my friends!? What thick-face you have!

Athena followed the three of them and watched as how 'Athena' was suddenly overwhelmed by the situation. Unfortunately, before her friends suspect anything, the king and queen came down and made some speech. Her father quickly found her and pulled her away to greet the king after the king's speech.

After that was when her fiancée, Kaine, showed up and asked her to dance with him.

Kaine! I'm warning you not to get deceived. We have known each other ever since we were children. If you couldn't recognize that this woman isn't me, our engagement is off!

Athena shouted despite the fact that she can't be heard. She slapped the hands of Kaine, who asked 'Athena' for a dance.

'Athena' smiled and held the outstretched hands of the young gentleman Kaine. Both of them walked towards the dancefloor and danced, following the lead of the notes. Despite having some knowledge in dancing and muscle memory form Athena's body, 'Athena' made a few mistakes and stepped on Kaine's shoe.

"You're making quite a few mistakes, Athena. Are you not feeling well?"
