Arthur (24) Daemon (6) Rhaena (9) Corlys (10)

AN: rhaena speaks on her fathers acceptance to Arthur, leading to news that must be shared with rest of the Valyrians on board.

Subsequent reactions.

Arthur finally gets to the end of his grandfather's writing in the journal. Only for memories to occur. Worrying his newly betrothed pink dragon. As magic always has a price. And it will have its due.

Seahorse, narrow sea, 130AC

ARTHUR

As I'm speaking to Alyn and corlys about tactics in naval warfare, I find myself shocked by how well the young Seafyre is picking things up.

It seems Alyn has made a decision to become Alyn Seafyre. Admiral of Sparta. This made Corlys eyes go mood wide before jumping into a crash course on the overall importance of naval supremacy.

After returning to the seahorse from my bout with daemon, I brought the design of alyns sigil to him.

(Image)

I used one from my previous world, with the color scheme a grey dragon among golden flames rising out of a velaryon blue tide on a field of black.

I appreciate just how much Alyn tells me he is thankful. For there's not enough of it in this world. Not only that, but he's worthy of such things. He's kind and easy going unless you upset him. Which is why he snapped back at daemon like he did during our drinking session.

Flashback

Alyn and I are alone before departing to meet daemon. The guy looks nervous. Not too surprising considering the rogue princes reputation. But I need him to be a dragon. Daemon will not accept anything less.

(Alyn, when daemon pushes you, you must retort him. Fear not. For I'll keep the peace should he get too angry, and let said anger out on me.)

I said to my newest friend. He looked shocked and replied, (forgive me Arthur, but he's a prince of the realm. He's ridden a dragon for most of his life. How am I to engage with him in verbal combat?)

I laugh and shake my head. (I imagine he is simple seeing whether or not you're a true dragon by his own opinion. Infamous and feared he may be, but that's by people who know they can never control him.)

End flashback

I myself was just a fly on the wall to the discussion between tides. Alyn had impressed me when retorting the rogue. He kept eye contact and didn't flinch when daemons own lilac orbs became dragonfire.

I'm broken from my thoughts of Alyn standing up to daemon by Rhaena walking in. She had needed to speak with her father about gods knows what, but the smile she wore when looking at me was unlike all the others I've seen before. It sparkled. As did her eyes with unshead tears.

Before anyone or myself knew what was happening I was in front of her. By the gasps in the room I'd shocked the tides behind me. But I cared not. For I hated seeing her cry. Such a thing made my heart rage and disspair like yin and Yang.

(AN:rhis movement will be key later on. More Valyrian magic awakening.)

Quickly catching her in my arms I wipe the now falling tears from her eyes. However her smile somehow got wider at my actions.

I hear someone clear their throat and look up to see the rogue prince looking at me in a way that was hard to describe even for my superior eyes. For they have gotten better and better each time I see through Artemis' own.

I have a theory it's similar to the amalgius form spoken of in Harry Potter. Where you attain certain features from your animal. It's your brain trying to replicate what you're used to seeing. The human body was truly the mountaintop of evolution.

The face was one of anger at my being so close to her. But there was also an acceptance there, something that shocked me.

I'm pulled out of the staring contest by Rhaena. My beautiful pink dragon. She whispers In my ear, (can we go fly? I have need to speak to you. Alone.)

My face said it all. For when she was this close to me, she could see under the hood. The mask. I was shocked. Not knowing what was happening. I decided to take her offered hand in a daze. Following her lead.

DAEMON

Watching Rhaena and Arthur leave hurts my heart. My little girl. Leading her as my wife leads me. Were it not me myself in the situation I would've found it funny. However, my decision is made. She will get what she wants.

Should the boy not turn her down that is. Then we'd have an entirely different issue to sort out.

I look to Corlys I and II. I know the boys name. Alyn Seafyre. A strong Valyrian name as any I've heard. He'd impressed me as well.

I see them sitting around a map of oddly shaped ships. I decided to listen in. While I'll never say so outloud, there are none more wise in seafarring than my good father. His son seems to know that as well.

It's funny to see. How enthralled the boy is by Corlys and his seemingly endless well of wisdom when it comes to the sea. Much like mine own used to shine when my father told me of dragons and Valhallas.

'What would you think of me now father? My daughter is going to wed a Valhalla. Mayhaps these dreams are not the curses I've claimed them to be. But the people who get said dreams needs must use such knowledge properly.

Another thing I'll have to congratulate Rhaena on I suppose. Praying this all works out and im able to watch her walk down the isle to Arthur. For ive never seen my daughter so happy as when I gave my approval, that alone will stay my hand.

RHAENA

Watching Arthur walk beside me near where our initial meeting with my father happend, I don't know what to say.

Seeint we have no guards I decide to be bold. To not care. To indulge what I've wanted since I became a women and learned what the feelings these eyes stirred in me.

I turn to Arthur and all but attack his lips. The taste Much like the 'mint' as he'd called it that his island smelled like. Magic. He smelled and tasted like magic.

I felt him try to pull away again, to preserve our honor. A kind gesture that endears him all the more to me. But I will not break our honor before our wedding night.

However, that doesn't mean I won't indulge the same things I catch baela and jace doing at Dragonstone when they sneak away from see cargyll long enough.

I push him down onto the sizeable rock along the small stream that empties into the shivering sea. Following him down my bottom is placed on his right leg while my legs and feet dangle off the other side.

I attack those mint tasting lips until I need to breathe.

Stopping my action I open my eyes to see the most rewarding sight I've ever seen.

Arthur Valhalla. The man who made me make moon eyes at him since the first time we met, is now making those same moon eyes at me. The beautiful orbs of Valyrian steel and dragonfire red so perfect to me.

I put our foreheads together. Just to take him in. His smell. His presence. So long have I waited for this.

His lovely voice enters my ears, (rhae?)

I laugh a true laugh. And then I respond. (My father informed me if I wish to marry you, I have his blessing.)

Now it was my turn to be attacked. Though I minded it not.

————————

As soon as we were done. And our swollen lips had time to heal, he lifted me up in a princess carry. Before sitting me on my feet, taking my left hand in his two and spoke while kneeling before me. Arthur, the man who had giants and emissary's of the old gods answer to him, was kneeling to me. (In my family, this is how we propose to our wife's. A true show of vulnerability. For you're the only person I ever bend a knee to. If you wish to marry me say I do and let's inform your family.)

His hood was off. As was the winter mask he wore when it was off. I've never seen him look more at peace. That conflict I always see behind his eyes is no longer there.

And I find I feel like the proudest women to ever exist that I was the one to make it happen.

With a kiss to seal my answer I spoke, (no one will stop me from marrying you Arthur Valhalla. I'll Make that oath in front of a w weirwood if you'd wish it.) I get a laugh in response before he carried me all the way back to our mounts.

I hold onto my betrothed. My face buried in the armored robes he always wears. One day I'll find out who inspired such things. As I'm sure I've never heard of anything like it. As well as the now I'm close enough to see it, blades under his bracers made of Valyrian steel.

'Just how much do you know? Oh sweet dragon-knight of mine?' I fret as we head back to the seahorse.

CORLYS

After my talk with Alyn on his duties as admiral or master of ships for minivalyria (Sparta) I notice prince daemon sitting in the room.

He has a bottle of whiskey open. Not even attempting propriety as he drank without a glass. Simply taking gulps of the drink every few minutes.

I finally have enough of the sullen look he wears as he seems to be lost in thought looking out the window towards the sea.

(Daemon!)

At my exclamation he turns to me. Seeming to come too. Before the rogue mask fell back into place.

(What is it Corlys? And do stop that yelling. I'm not in the mood.)

I've known daemon for a long, Long time. He doesn't look broken as he did when little visenya didn't make it. But he doesn't look overjoyed. He looks, lost.

Then it hits me. I've seen that look before. One on mine own face when my daughter laena told me she was to marry the rogue prince.

I look to Alyn and silently ask for him to leave us. For only a father can understand such things. Better I get the real daemon than one who's trying to keep up a mummery to keep Alyn guessing.

Something older dragons do to younger ones unconsciously I'm told. Helps them prepare of something Rhaenys had said one time or another. Unfortunately I've had far too much wine since then.

My musings are broken when Alyn makes some exude about wanting to ride seasmoke himself before disappearing out of the chamber.

I look to daemon while he's already looking at me and I see that sad, lost smile make its way to his lip.

I know right now nothing needs be said. Company and alcohol is what're needed. I can provide that better than anyone save Arthur himself. But I feel both he and daemon wish to be apart.

They may not be enemies. But they certainly are not friends. No yet. For it takes blood to truly bond people. Whether you're spilling it with eachother side by side. Or marrying into eachothers families.

ARTHUR

My mind is racing. Now I'm betrothed. In honesty it happened quick. But I can't explain how I feel when I'm around Rhaena. Like getting into a hot spring is the best way I can imagine it. Warm. Comfortable. Something not too common here or in my old life.

But this also means I have more to lose. To fight for. It's with those thoughts that I make an excuse of needing to change before dinner to read my grandfathers journal for true.

I've only read little pieces so far. But with more and more magic beginning to take shape in my body, I need to learn what's happening. I need to remember Valyria. Not just bits and pieces.

————————-

I sit down onto my desk seat in my cabin aboard the seahorse with anger. So much anger. 'The old bastard didn't write anything about Valyrian secrets. Just apologies for being an ass!'

My thoughts are dragonflame as I rage.

I unknowingly let out the right hidden blade in my arm. It's point sticks into my palm. Making me pull my ring finger back into position, sheathing the blade.

It's a fairly good cut. The sharpness of Valyrian steel is not to be underestimated.

I see blood hit the empty 25% of the journal page. I'm about to throw it in the fire when I see ink begin to appear.

The pages become completely red on the used to be empty back 25% of the book.

I read the first word and my mind goes somewhere else.

My child. Here are the secrets you must keep. Nobody must know all the details about any of this. A Valhallas strength May have began with dragons. But after so many families had gotten them, we needed a new edge. For old grudges ran deep in old Valyria.

We called this edge, wildfyre....

And my world turned black.

3rd pov

He didn't see the blood dry up from the page, leaving it clear white and words unwritten again.

Hours later, princess Rhaena Targaryen came into lord Valhallas chambers and her scream could be heard all the way to runestone, ARTHUR!

————————-

ARTHUR POV

I wake up and I'm walking through the halls of what I know to be the Valhalla keep in the heart of Valyria. Making a right turn I'm met with two black haired blue eyed guardsmen. True Spartan looking warriors.

The one to my right sneers at me. 'Vhaegon' bastard dog of one of my cousins or other. Anothe ambitious serpant who wishes wings.

(What're you doing here mutt?)

Although I'm only 12 I slide the hidden blades out of my gauntlets and lookk him in the eyes.

My words are cut off from the man to my left.

'Aemon, the only true knight I've ever known.' My mind supplies looking at the silvery locks and blue eyes of aemon Belarys. My grandmothers family and one of the most powerful houses in Valyria

He speaks. Sneering at vhaegon, (imagine a man grown bullying a child. Shall you and I go to the yard after our shift ends dog?)

He says back in a voice I recognize is furious. His midnight blue mount also makes a dive overhead. Vhaegon shudders but also threw me a scathing look,(no lord Belarys.)

' a weak man will always find those he thinks weaker and show his own dominance to them. For that's a cowards way.' Aemon had told me when I was 8 after being laughed at for crying at my fathers funeral.

I kept this in mind as I walked in to come face to face with the biggest coward I've ever lain my eyes on. Jaenyx Valhalla.

AN: The magic is coming the magic is coming

Loved writing this chapter. Hope you all enjoy it as well. Might get another one out tonight. But idk. I've found taking my time with these helps me think more clearly as well as weave the story the way I want it.

Give me suggestions. If the pics are not up by the time you read it I only ask you give me time. They are coming.
