Chapter 1LAST MEET

Alvaro entered the restaurant with his hair and body slightly wet from the rain.

While looking at his watch, Alvaro looked for the whereabouts of his fiance Zenita who would soon marry him.

"Alva I'm here!" called Zenita who was sitting at a table in the far corner of the restaurant near the garden beside the restaurant.

Shaking off the raindrops that wet his hair, Alvaro walked over to Zenita who was waving at her.

"I'm sorry honey, I came late. You know that right? My job, today is very busy." said Alvaro who works as a policeman in the city area A.

"It's okay honey I just came too." said Zenita sitting back after Alvaro sat beside her.

"Have you ordered food, honey?" asked Alvaro still busy tossing his wet hair.

"I've ordered your favorite dish, Javanese chicken porridge. Dry your hair dear." said Zenita while giving her handkerchief to Zenita.

"Okay if you have ordered food. Have you ordered yourself? I'm sorry Nita, I can't stay here long, because I have an appointment with Mr. David." said Alvaro who was always busy with his work.

"You should be able to take a few days off before and after our wedding. But you didn't. You're still working. Do you remember that we're getting married tomorrow?" Zenita asked with a disappointed look.

"Right dear, what you said is true. I should have been able to take time off before and after our wedding. But you know for yourself that the case I'm facing now can't be left alone. I have to be able to uncover the case of Mr. Rendra's death." said Alvaro while pressing his temples.

"But Alva, it wasn't just you who solved that case? Is there still Mr. David who is more senior than you?" Zenita said with a disappointed look.

"Remember Alva, Mr. Rendra died because of a mafia revenge case, what if they are also after you? You have to let go of this case Alva." said Zenita with a heart that is not willing if Alvaro spends his time only on the case of Mr. Rendra's death.

"You don't think anything like Nita, I'll be fine. Are you calm? I really don't want to disappoint you. I promise you, tomorrow after we get married our lives will be happy forever. After this case is over I promise you to take you on vacation for a few days." Alvaro said while holding Zenita's hand.

"How many times have you promised me to leave some free time for both of us." Zenita said with tears in her eyes.

"Nita...you don't cry. I promise, I will replace all the time when this case is over. I can't back down from this task." said Valentino while wiping the tears that trickled down Zenita's cheeks.

"Really, you promised to make up for our lost time?" Zenita asked with a full look.

"Right dear, I promise you after this case is over. I will give as much time as possible for both of us." said Alvaro while holding Zenita's hand and kissing the back of her hand.

"Okay, I'll keep your promise sweetheart." Zenita said with a smile.

"I'm glad you can smile again honey." said Alvaro feeling relieved after seeing Zenita's sweet smile.

"Hmm... but, for now I want you to stay with me longer." Zenita said with hopeful eyes.

"Really, I can't honey. I only have 30 minutes to keep you company. Now we have to enjoy this short time." said Alvaro while shifting his seat when the waiter came with some food Zenita ordered.

"Eat first Alva, I'm still full. I want to see you eat your favorite chicken porridge." said Zenita with a look full of love.

"Hmm... well then I'll feed you. We'll eat this chicken porridge together." said Alvaro while blowing his hot porridge to feed Zenita.

Zenita couldn't help but smile at the sweet treatment from Alvaro that she rarely got.

With jokes and laughter, Alvaro gives Zenita attention and sweet words so that Zenita's disappointment disappears into happiness.

"Are you happy Nita?" asked Alvaro with a smile seeing Zenita looking happy.

"Of course I am very happy Alva, how can I not be happy ... because of all the women who love you, you finally chose me and married me." Zenita said with a beaming face.

"I'm happy if you're happy Nita." said Alvaro earnestly.

"But Luna must be unhappy, I don't know how Luna is now. Does she still hate me?" asked Zenita looking sadly at Alvaro.

"I'm sure, Luna will be happy and understand our relationship." said Alvaro slightly disturbed by a name Luna. Zenita's twin sister, her old friend before Luna introduced her to Zenita who had just come from overseas.

"I didn't snatch you from Luna did I Alva?" Zenita asked with a sad look.

Alvaro shook his head.

"No dear, Luna and I do love each other. But only as friends, nothing more. You don't think about that anymore, okay?" said Alvaro while gently caressing Zenita's graceful face. Valentino really doesn't want Zenita to know why Luna went to North Base. Because he was also hurt by the departure of Luna who went only because of his wish.

"But...if Luna doesn't feel hurt, why did Luna leave us? Why did Luna have to take on an assignment out there?" Zenita asked very guilty to Luna.

"Luna didn't accept the assignment there because it had anything to do with us Nita. That task had been Luna's wish for a long time, Luna wanted to devote herself to the North base." said Alvaro trying to calm Zenita's heart.

"Is that really Alva? You don't just calm my heart, do you?" Zenita asked with a full look.

"I'm telling the truth Nita. Trust me, Luna going there has nothing to do with us. It's all Luna's own wish and she will definitely come back during our wedding. I'm sure Luna will come and will accompany you." said Alvaro holding Zenita's hand tightly.
