Xu Rongfei's Birthday

As I cultivated the night away until it was late afternoon the next morning which I felt the presence of an array.

'Finally, it took him a while,'

I grab a piece of rock beside me that had an inscription and simply used a little qi to activate it which made it suddenly explode however, this explosion made a rune float in the air and engrave itself on my ceiling. This meant that the array had been linked to my house and with this, the qi from the surrounding headed to Chen Fan's villa while the qi from nature itself and the sun was being absorbed by me.

I began to cultivate and 2 hours later I could feel myself breaking through to the connate level.

"Finally!" I shouted as I broke through causing my house to rumble going noticed by everyone else and not affecting anywhere else thanks to some safety arrays I had placed around my house.

I look at the clock on my wall and see the time 'Shit It's nearly time for Xu Rongfei's party, I better get ready!'

I got in the shower and done my hair slicked back and to the side instead of the mess, it usually was. I then put on the suit I had worn before, which had been washed, and put it on then I brushed my teeth and headed out the house.

Just as I was leaving I saw something in the mailbox, 'What's this?" I picked it up and opened it to see it was the Jade necklace 'Hope she likes it.' was my final thought as I took a car I had bought alongside this house, it was a. Ferrari Ferrari Monza. I drove to a nearby store and had bought some packaging to put the case that came with the necklace on and sign my name with a birthday letter too.

A/N: Yes once again google search for the car.

As I arrived at the party I could see there were a few cars one of which I recognized as Yang Chao's and Jiang Churan's aunts which were driving off as Jiang Churan got out of the car.

Jiang Churan spotted the car I was in and was surprised and then she saw me and smiled and waited there.

I parked my car and headed over to her greeting her "Hi Churan, want to go inside? It's pretty cold out here."

"I'm fine was just waiting for you. However, let's go in as don't want to keep the birthday girl waiting." She replied as we knock on the door.

"Churan!" Xu Rongfei shouted as she opened the door and hugged her.

"Stop, Feilong is here too!" She said

This caused her to turn around and give me a smile and a greeting as we both head inside along with her taking both the presents we had in our hands.

10 minutes into the party as we were all having a great time getting it started the doorbell rang.

'Guess he's here.'

Xu Rongfei answered the door and said "Brother Chen Fan, there you are."

Xu Rongfei took the present from Chen Fan and headed inside under the scolding eyes of Jiang Churan.

As Chen Fan entered you could see Chu Menghui come downstairs with Xu Rongfei's mother and walk past Chen Fan saying "Hmph."

As he came over to Yang Chao's side calling of us to come as we cut the cake but he nearly fell to the ground as he saw me, however, quickly recovered trying to not make eye contact with me and made his way next to the cake as we all followed.

"Happy Birthday to you!" We all chanted together as Xu Rongfei blew her candles making a wish as she looked at Chen Fan.

As she cut the cake the door opened where a man entered with a few bodyguards.

"What are you doing here?" Aunt Xu (Xu Rongfei's mother) said in suprise.

Xu Rongfei also quickly followed saying "Dad?"

"Feifei, I came here from Haizhou as I heard it was your 19th birthday." Xu Ao said in reply.

This made a family reunion with Xu Rongfei tearing up and them all having an emotional family hug.

This got whispers from the people attending at the surprise that Xu Ao was Rongfei's father which got Xu Ao to come over and thank and greet us for looking after her with him then turning towards Chu Menghui saying "How has the commander Chu been?"

"Uncle, my father has been well, thank you." Chu Menghui said in response.

"Who is Chen Fan?!" Xu Ao asked scanning the audience.

everyone quickly looked at Chen Fan who came forward and said "Nice to meet you uncle, I'm Chen Fan."

"Please continue the party." Xu Ao said gesturing for Chu Menghui to come and sit besides Xu Rongfei.

Then the conversation about who Master Chen was started and Mengmeng saying she would marry him. I then interrupted and said "I know master Chen."

This got everyone to look at me but then remember the auction incident and become quiet while Xu Ao asked "And you are?"

"I am Feilong." I announced proudly which got Chu Menghui to have fear covered over his face as his worse fear of me actually being Feilong the one who humiliated him at the auction be true.

"I have never heard of you so how have you met master Chen?" he asked.

"You can call the Wei family or the auction head to know who I am or even ask anyone here. I would suggest asking Chu Menghui though." I simply replied with a smile plastered on my face seeing Chu Menghui's face.

Xu Ao turned to Chu Menghui for answers to only see his face and how he was sweating profusely however, he still asked, "Who is he?"

"H...He i...is a martial master!" He replied with his voice slightly higher to how it usually was showing how nervous he was.

"A master at your age as If we are to believe that!" Master Gu shouted in surprise at the news he heard.

"Have you not heard of Fenghuang?" I replied with my own question.

This got master Gu to be quiet however, Xu Ao then turned to him and asked "Who is Fenghuang?"

"Sir Fenghuang is the mysterious master who is said to be above the earth immortal stage and is the one who had been selling the beauty pills and recently a rumour that he will be selling pills that increase qi. You most likely did not hear of this as all these pills were sold by Zhang Wei and were only popular in Chuzhou but the qi pill rumour stirred the martial community." Master Gu replied.

"What validation proves you are his disciple?" Asked Xu Ao.

"I can call Wei Zhang or the Wei family to prove this." I retaliated. Continuing with "Everyone here besides Aunt Xu and your group has seen some of my skills."

"Haha~ in that case, I won't doubt you, come next to me." He replied gesturing to where Chu Menghui was sitting as he stared at Chu Menghui to move.

I then moved over and sat down, with me continuing "Now let's continue the party as it's not about me or you but about Xu Rongfei."

"Your right, your right, let's continue." He added.

As the party came to an end I had plenty of time to talk to Xu Rongfei and Xu Ao and I believe this conversation got me an approval test as he invited me to have a spar with master Gu tomorrow at 10am. Chen Fan decided to leave not long after this being seen off by Xu Rongfei. Someone else left which was not really a surprise but was different from the manhua, Chu Menhui, he left after seeing Xu Ao change his opinion of him and how Xu Ao embarrassed him.

"Let's open the presents now then shall we?" Aunt Xu said as she tapped the fork against her glass.

This got everyone excited as they all stood up and headed to the present table following Xu Rongfei. The presents were all slowly opened with a jade bracelet provided by Chen Fan which shocked everyone but then got shrugged off with Mengmeng still against Chen Fan saying "It's probably fake."

"It's not and it's of top quality." I quickly interjected getting a stare that could kill from Mengmeng and a surprised look from Xu Rongfei seeing me defend Chen Fan.

"How can you tell?" Asked Yang Chao defending his girlfriend.

"Open my present and you will see." I said as I gestured to mine hinting at what I got her.

She grabbed my present and gasped as she opened it "This is too much." she said trying to hand it back.

"No, no not at all this is something I wanted to give you also I enchanted it with protection runes so please, keep it." I replied.

"You shouldn't turn down his goodwill, Feifei." Xu Ao added.

"Put it on." Jiang Churan chanted causing everyone to chant along.

Seeing Xu Rongfei nervous to put it on I grabbed the necklace and helped put it on her which made her blush at how close our faces were to one another. Seeing this to give her a hint of my feelings to her I whispered so only she would hear "I will always be here for you so don't push me away because of this."

"Woo!" everyone who chanted said as they saw how stunning the necklace looked on Xu Rongfei, this added to Xu Rongfei's embarrassment making her face as red as a tomato.

-POV of Xu Rongfei:

Mengmeng who saw the present said "It's probably fake."

"It's not and it's of top quality." Feilong quickly interjected getting a stare that could kill from Mengmeng.

'he's defending Chen Fan why? I thought he would be like all the other young masters at this party but he's different. He has a unique charm like Chen Fan however, the opposite Chen Fan is cold but kind and is what makes me attracted to him but Feilong is very outgoing, kind and is not afraid to stand up for others whether he knows them or not!'

"How can you tell?" Asked Yang Chao defending his girlfriend.

"open my present and you will see." Feilong said as he gestured to his present that was neatly wrapped in a pink bow hinting at what he had got me.

I grabbed the present and gasped as I opened it "This is too much." I said trying to hand it back.

"No, no not at all this is something I wanted to give you also I enchanted it with protection runes so please, keep it." Feilong replied with a soft and kind smile on his face.

"You shouldn't turn down his goodwill, Feifei." Xu Ao added.

'Why did he get me something so expensive, he doesn't have feelings for me does he? My father is even helping him.'

"Put it on." Jiang Churan chanted causing everyone to chant along. Which surprised me as Jiang Churan is normally no the one to do this kind of thing.

Hearing everyone join made me a little nervous but Feilong walked up to me and put the necklace on me and as his face got closer to mine it made me realise how handsome he was. He was extremely gentle when putting the necklace on me so much so that I could barely even feel his hand on my neck as he was putting the necklace on. When he finished he whispered to me "I will always be here for you so don't push me away because of this."

"Woo!" everyone chanted as Feilong backed away which made my face turn extremely red and then cover my face as I grabbed Feilong and walked out of the party.

-Back to MC POV:

Xu Rongfei covered her face and took my arm before storming out of the party and headed outside to the garden which was quite stunning under this moonlit sky and the fully grown trees and flowers with the silence of the night adding a romantic atmosphere.

After a few moments, she calmed down and then looked at in the eyes and said "Why did you do that?!"

Seeing how cute she was at the birthday party and at this moment caused me to confirm something, I like her. Right here and right now I confess to her. "Feifei, although we have not known each other for long every since I first laid eyes on you in the auction I had fallen for you. I know you have feelings for another but I will not give up, just like I said I will always be here for you and will wait until you can accept my feelings."

"Yo-You what do you mean like me and I like someone what do you mean?" She said stuttering.

"I could tell from today's party that you like Chen Fan, the way you stare at him are the eyes of a girl who has fallen in love. However, it angers me the way Chen Fan feigns ignorance to shrug off the blatant feelings you are showing for him. Although I know why he does that..."

"What do you mean you know why he does that, are you saying Chen Fan is purposely ignoring my feelings?!" She quickly replied.

"He loves someone else." I simply said seeing as these four words shattered her heart and made a tear fall from her face. As I saw this I quickly grabbed her waist and embraced her.

She continued to cry for a few minutes before saying "Thank you for telling me and putting up with me in this state. But I'm sorry I cannot accept your feelings yet."

"I understand, I only told you now as I will be going to the military in a few days." I said as I looked towards the floor.

"The military why?!" She said in surprise.

"My master has arranged for me to go to the military to gain some experience in combat however, during the short time I have been in this city I had fallen for you and do not wish to leave but I cannot refuse my master's wish."

'I would like to stay behind to be with her until she can accept my feelings but I know I must hurry if I wish to go to the upper realms and my original goal wasn't to love when I first chose this world.

"I see....." She said as she too looked at the ground.

"Would you like to train in cultivation?" I asked her.

"What?!" She asked in shock looking at me.

"I know you cannot accept my feeling and that you love Chen Fan but if you want him to recognise you at the least I can help you train." I replied.

"Why would I have to train to be recognised by Chen Fan?" She asked.

"To tell you the truth he is Master Chen." I said dropping another bomb on her.

"What!" She replied in shock.

"Do not tell anyone this as they will see themselves soon. However, I can train you as I can talk to my master and I'm pretty sure he will accept you." I replied to her. I continued to say "However, don't think training is easy, you need determination and be ready to leave your loved ones if you truly wish to be on the same level as Chen Fan."

"I understand and I am willing." She said with determination.

'I know what I'm doing will only allow her feeling for Chen Fan to grow but I hope she can let them go once she sees Chen Fan and Fang Qiong together.'

"I will leave now and talk to my master and let you know tomorrow." I reply as I head off.

As I walk off she stops me and says "Thank you for this opportunity, I will never forget it."

I then disappear into the night and make my way home where I lay on my bed in deep thought of what I have just done.

'It's not like me to do this or to even have these feelings. Did my personality change slightly when I transmigrated here? However! This will only add a new goal to my many goals already and will only slow my plans down a little.'
