The World of Angelique Tsukishima

It was morning and a girl was sleeping soundly in her bed when an alarm clock brought her sleep to an end. The girl was displeased when that happened.

The girl woke up and checked her alarm clock to verify what time it was. She jumped out of her bed when she saw the actual time.

" Oh no! What time is it?" The girl took her alarm clock to verify the time. " 7:30? 7:30??" The girl was shocked by how late it was.

" What?? I overslept! What am I gonna do? I'm going to be late for school if I don't hurry". The girl got off of the bed.

She hurried to the washroom, took a quick shower, ate in a flash, and ran to school.

Life is so strange. It's a strange phenomenon. Every life is decided beforehand. Our fate is written before we were even born. After our birth, we follow the cycle as it's supposed to be with no questions asked. Having a goal, something to do, Something that makes you happy in life, everyone has one, but me, Angelique Tsukishima has no care in the world. When I see the world as it stands, I don't see anything worth appreciating or liking. This life is simply meaningless. I sometimes wonder what I'm doing here because there's nothing that makes me happy.

" I made it! I made it at last!" The girl was exhausted. She was out of breath after running to school.

She came just in time for the professor to start making roll calls.

" Time for class everyone! Everybody, go back to your seats. I'm going to take attendance!" The professor called out everyone's names one by one.

After going through the whole list, the professor got back to the students.

" My name is Joseph Hiwatari. Starting today, I'm your English Teacher. Nice to meet all of you!"

The professor introduced himself to the students.

" Let's start this day by getting to know each other. Introduce yourselves!" The professor said to the students.

As per the professor's request, the students started introducing themselves one by one.

" My name is Ryuji Bloom! I have a pretty face; I'm cool, and every girl loves me. I'm the coolest of all guys". He sat up after finishing his presentation.

" I'm Melody Springfield! I love to make friends; I'm a lovely and enjoyable person".

" I'm up next! Nice to meet you all. My name is Anna Annazono! What can I say? I love all of you".

" Matthew Muto! I love to draw. It's a pleasure".

" Oscar Venus! There's nothing to know about me. I'm smart; I love to make fun of people. That's my hobby!"

" Elise Le Blanc! I'm the daughter of Nathan and Josephine Le Blanc. Don't even try messing with me! If you try, I'll kick your buts".

" Who's left?" The professor asked.

" Angelique Tsukishima! The shyest person I've ever met". Oscar Venus said with sarcasm.

We're all in this world for a purpose. Every student in this class is here to have a good education in order to land a proper job in the future based on their abilities. There's only one student who doesn't fit that description at all and that's Oscar Venus. All he does every day is make my life miserable. As he said in his introduction, his greatest hobby is making fun of others, except for the fact that the only person he makes fun of is me and no one else.

" Stop it, Oscar!" Melody Springfield intervenes.

" Why should I? It's the truth. She's shy, ugly, and to top it off, she talks to herself. She's strange. If you ask me, I'll say she's a monster". Oscar said with coldness.

" Stop it, Oscar! That's enough! Leave this room immediately!" The professor said with anger.

" Yes, Sir!" He left the room.

" Angelique Tsukishima! Don't misunderstand!" Said the professor.

" Don't worry! I'm fine!" She said in a low voice.

She stood up to introduce herself to the class.

" My name is Angelique Tsukishima. I'm shy, ugly, and clumsy. I don't want to know any of you". Her look was cold like the ice itself.

With her introduction done, the bell rang, marking the end of class.

" We'll stop here, everyone!" All the students left the classroom.

Angelique Tsukishima who was about to exit the classroom got suddenly interpellated by her English Professor.

" Angelique Tsukishima, please wait a sec!" The professor interpellated her.

The girl stopped unexpectedly and faced her professor.

" Why have you said all those things?" The professor asked his student.

" Because it's the truth. I'm not normal, Teacher. I'm abnormal. I don't want to see the reality. I live in my world. If you'll excuse me, I will get going now". Angelique exits the classroom.

On her way back, the girl dived into an intense reflection.

Why? Why? Why? Why am I like this? Why? The girl thought painlessly.

When she arrives home, she sleeps on her bed. She falls deeply asleep not long after.

The following morning, Angelique got to school on time. Half of the students had already arrived when she entered the classroom. She went straight to her seat.

" Look who's there! If it isn't Angelique Tsukishima!" Oscar said with sarcasm.

There he comes again! When will he ever leave me alone? Does he have nothing better to do? I subconsciously thought.

" Stop it, Oscar! Leave her alone!" Eloise Baker stood up for the girl.

" It's out of the question!" Oscar refused to comply.

The students heard footsteps coming their way. Each one of them heads to their respective seats.

" Hello, everyone!" The professor greeted the students with a slight grin.

" Hello, Teacher! How are you?" The students returned the gesture.

" Good! And you!" The professor asked the students.

" Fine!" The students responded.

" Thanks, class!" The students sat down.

The professor grabbed the sheet for roll call.

" Now, time to take the attendance!" The professor called out each student's name.

He checked the list to make sure he hadn't forgotten anyone.

" Now class, today's lesson will be about Bullying". The professor introduced the theme to the class.

" Bullying?" Oscar asked surprisingly.

" Yes, Bullying!" The professor cleared his confusion.

Oscar sat right back in his seat.

" Who knows the exact definition of Bullying?" The professor asked the class.

Ryuji Bloom raised his hand to answer the question. The professor picked him, seeing that no one else was willing to answer.

" Bullying is when a student uses superior strength or influence to intimidate someone. Typically to force him or her to do what one wants. It's also when a student oppresses or talks badly to one or several students". Ryuji responded to the question.

The professor congratulated him for the excellent definition he provided.

" Great! He continued his statement: " Everybody, write this definition in your notebook!" Said the professor to the class.

The students took notes of the definition Ryuji provided as per the professor's request.

" So, Bullying isn't a good thing in our society. Bullying can bring a lot of misfortune to people". The professor shared his knowledge with the classroom.

The bell rang unexpectedly and the students started wrapping up their stuff.

" It's the end of today's lesson. I'll see you all for tomorrow's class". The students exit the classroom.

Angelique heads to her next class. She goes to her seat and then sits down. The professor entered the classroom. The students stood up and bow in respect. They sit down after that.

The new teacher introduced herself to the classroom.

" My name is Patricia Lopez. Nice to meet you!" The female professor introduced herself to the whole class.

" Nice to meet you too!" The students returned the gesture.

" Today, we will play a game. You will introduce yourself and then tell me what you guys will be doing in the future. Now, let's start!" She continued.

" My name is Jennifer Tristain. I want to be a professional singer".

" My name is Antonio De La Fontaine. I want to be a pianist".

It went on and on until the bell rang.

" Oh, the bell rings! We will catch up tomorrow". The students packed their stuff and left the classroom.

Angelique is back from school. She heads straight to her room to change.

The last two days have been hectic for me. This life has no value. This reality is so gloomy and depressing. I don't belong here. I feel suffocated here! Going to school every day and coming back, what's the use of all that? The girl thought.

The girl fell soundly asleep, leaving her thoughts to wander.

The morning after--------

" Okay, everyone! Today, we have a transfer student joining our school". The professor said to the class.

" A transfer student!" The students were whispering among themselves.

For some reason, the girl felt uneasy with a transfer student joining their classroom.

" Come on! Don't be shy!" The professor called out to the student. The student entered the classroom.

" Hello! I'm Angel Mukaido. Nice to meet you!" The transfer student introduces himself before everyone with a grin.
