Under The Bridge

One week later...

Tyler was stronger, and they had moved to live under a bridge. It was tough, but it wasn't something new to any of them.

"I got everything you need." Lara walked to Tyler with a flash drive and a phone.

"Is Aaron not yet back?" She asked as she had suggested that they go together and get the things, but Aaron clearly stated that he wouldn't team with girls.

"He will be back," Tyler replied. He took the phone from her and sighed.

"Stolen?"

"No, I bought it with money from my magical wallet," she scoffed, and just then Aaron walked towards them with a big bag.

"I got everything we need," he said as he sat next to Tyler, opened the bag, and took out a laptop.

"Brand new"

"How did you get a brand new laptop?" Lara was surprised because, as far as she knows, Aaron has no money, which is why they live under a bridge.

"Some steal from the rich, not poor individuals," Aaron answered.

"Such a proud thief," Lara retorted, and this made Aaron sigh in regret. If he had his way, he would have abandoned her at her father's house and left with Tyler.

Aaron took out some brand-new clothes, brand-new phones, and two tickets. "We are going to Los Angeles tonight."

Lara felt bad; she smiled painfully because Aaron had just two tickets in hand. They were leaving without her. "Don't cry; I got you a ticket as well," Aaron said in a teasing tone, and Lara was so happy.

"Girls are liabilities; they get so emotional," Tyler said mockingly before he switched on the laptop.

"Okay, Aaron, on the watch."

Aaron took out the watch from his trouser pocket. Lara was told what the watch was capable of, and she also heard the watch talk to them, but she had never seen what it could do.

Some images started displaying on the laptop.

[Watch: Break into Los Angeles bank]

"It still has the same mission for us," Tyler said, and it wasn't long before the blueprint of the bank, the worker's cell number, and also the break time of the employees were displayed.

"Woah!" Lara gasped in shock.

"Did it just give us everything we need to break into a bank?" She was amazed. "Is it black magic?" she added, and they both frowned at her.

"Seriously, black magic? Is that the only thing you could come up with?" Tyler said angrily before taking a picture of the blueprint. Aaron wrote down the cell numbers and break time.

"Okay, now I understand. We are going to Los Angeles to break into a bank." Lara stated

"That's smart of you," Aaron mocked. They have been explaining things to her for a week and she just understood, and Tyler burst out in laughter. They both looked at him, confused.

"What's so funny?" asked Lara.

"He just called you smart," Tyler said between his laughs, and Aaron chuckled. Lara rolled her eyes. They hadn't yet seen what she was capable of, so they were quick to judge her.

"I took a bullet out of you," she sneered.

"Let's focus. The sooner we get money, the sooner we can get an apartment with separate rooms so we won't cross paths with each other."

Aaron chimed in.

"Okay, so what's the plan? The system won't tell us more if we don't know the password," Tyler questioned.

Aaron analyzed the bank's blueprint. "This isn't the central bank of Los Angeles; it's one branch because of its size," he said with his gaze stuck on the blueprint.

"The main entrance leads us into a spacious and well-lit lobby, probably a space for visitors to sit."

"How do you know it's lit?" Lara chimed in, and Aaron couldn't believe that out of all the reasonable questions in this world and with everything that left his mouth, she chose to ask this.

"I don't know sponge head; maybe because it's written there," Aaron said sarcastically before he continued his analysis.

"There are strategically placed information kiosks for self-service transactions in the lobby."

Aaron paused when he noticed the red dots. "Probably security cameras," Tyler explained as he checked the blueprint on the laptop as well.

"That's right, so there is one camera at the lobby door, two in the lounge, and there will be guards," Aaron said confidently as he jotted it down. Then he frowned and threw the jotter and pen at Lara.

"I heard girls have pretty handwriting; you should jot down everything."

"Oh, see, I am making myself useful," Lara said out loud. She pouted and picked the jotter.

Aaron continued analyzing the blueprint; he has been doing this a lot. "And the most important, cash room."

"Great, we walk in and grab the cash, and we are gone," Lara said with an excited tone.

"Of course, it's that easy," Tyler sneered; they were both just ganging up on her.

"I have a plan." Aaron smiled. "How many languages do you speak?" he asked, and Lara counted with her fingers.

"Duhh, one, and I am not even good at English."

"I believe an educated lady should have said I am not fluent in English," Tyler added.

"That's right, I see how good English landed you below a bridge," she fired back, and Aaron had to butt in.

"Tyler, you should create a social media platform for me. I am James Brown, the son of a multimillionaire from a private family who lives on a secluded island."

"Okay, on it." Tyler decided to hack an old account and use it, because if he creates a new one and it's just one day old, then it will make his identity suspicious.

"And I speak Alstaricos only."

"What's Alstaricos?" Tyler was sure he had never heard of such a language.

"Why don't you ask my translator?" Aaron smiled at Lara; she was happy and nervous. At least they weren't keeping her out of the team.

After they were done discussing their plans, Aaron knew there were a lot of loopholes and a lot of things could go wrong, and they could end up in jail. But was jail not better than their current situation?

"I have never left Reno, so how long is it from Reno to Los Angeles?" Lara asked while highlighting that she hadn't left Reno before because she was escaping the insults from either Tyler or Aaron.

"Get on the bus, have a few bad dreams, and when you are up, we will be in Los Angeles," Aaron answered before standing up to leave.

"Where are you going?" Tyler asked.

"To get some suits and a gown for the lady. The bus leaves in an hour, so park up."

"What are we parking? The bricks on the bridge?" Lara joked before laughing.

"I don't know, maybe try finding your brain and park it up... It's lurking somewhere around," Aaron answered back, and this made Tyler burst out in laughter.
