A Legend

There was a blind covering the wall, Aaron opened it, and Lara was shocked to see a free window there.

"Has this window always been here? And how did you know about it?" she asked in disbelief.

"I arrived at the building an hour ago." He was busy studying every angle of the building.

Then there was a knock on the door. "The door is locked," one guy alerted the others.

Aaron quickly passed Tyler through the window with the help of Lara, and he helped Lara jump down.

"Open the damn door," Lincoln scolded as his men kept hitting the door.

"Run!" Aaron yelled, and Lara shook her head in denial.

"Come as well," she said, but he shook his head in denial. They needed someone to stay back because if he goes as well, then all of Lincoln's men will come after them and they will catch up, since they are all too weak to run.

"Lara, go to the mail station beside the general market. Tell them I sent you, and they shouldn't send the mail; then you collect the package and go hide at the mosque; now leave," he ordered, and tears rolled down Lara's cheeks.

Even Tyler didn't want to leave his friend behind, but he knew that if Aaron was sending them away, then there was no other way. "Be careful," Tyler said, as he left with Lara.

Aaron closed the window and sat on the ground. Seconds later, it was finally pushed open, and Lincoln walked in with his men.

Lincoln looked around and noticed that only Aaron was present. "Where are the others?" he asked angrily and turned to his men.

"Don't go after them; I will tell you where the watch is," he stated, and Lincoln got anxious.

He sighed heavily and walked towards Aaron. He had suddenly forgotten about the other two. "Tell me, where is the watch?"

"The organization used us to take the watch from Martin; they never cared about our security.""That was Jacob's plan; the organization will never put teenagers at risk," Lincoln said, and Aaron chuckled.

"I am from a freezer; my friend was almost beaten to death."

Lincoln sighed. "Where is the watch?" he asked again.

"I called Martin and told him where to find the watch," he answered, and Lincoln's eyes widened in shock.

"You did what?"

"The watch is in Mexico; I called before coming here. So he must be on his private jet coming to get it."

"No, no…" Lincoln kicked Aaron angrily; they couldn't let the watch return to the hands of Martin, or else it would be impossible to get it.

"You can either hit me or ask me the location." Aaron wiped the blood from his lips as he had a mocking smile.

"What type of kid are you?" Lincoln pulled his hair, frustrated, before he kicked the wall.

"Tick Tock, Martin will soon arrive in Mexico," Aaron said with a sarcastic tone.

"Fine, where is the watch?"

"I need water," Aaron requested, and Lincoln signaled one of his men to get him water.

They handed him a glass of water, and he gulped it at once before he stood on his feet and said, "My money? In the oxygen box."

Another man brought the oxygen box to him, and he opened it and checked; the money was still in it.

He smiled and turned to Lincoln. "Fine, I will tell you where I kept the watch. You can get it before Martin does."

Lincoln finally sighed in relief. "Okay."

"And I won't leave; I will stay here and wait for you to find the watch. If you don't find it, then you can kill me. But if you find it, then you let us go for good."

Lincoln smiled. The purpose was to find the watch right now so he could do whatever he wanted later.

"Deal, now tell me where the watch is."

"There is a crowd beside a bridge; they are all gathered there to give their wishes to God, and the mass servants have a box in which everyone will place their wishes. I kept the watch inside."

Lincoln knew about that event, and the bridge wasn't too far from here. He also needed to go with enough men in case they ran into Martin.

So he turned to two of his men. "You both stay here and make sure he doesn't leave; the rest will come with me."

They quickly hurried out of the building and got into the van, which drove away.

Meanwhile, Aaron was left in the building with two men and some other minor workers.

He walked out of that room and looked around, with the two men keeping an eye on him. He held his money tightly. There was no way he was letting it go.

"Stop walking and sit already," one man scolded, and Aaron nodded. He walked to the chair beside the window and sat on it.

"So y'all just follow orders like sheeps?" He questioned them, but they ignored him.

"I am eighteen, but I won't dare let any man order me around. But look at you guys." His tone was filled with mockery.

"Shut up if you still want to keep your teeth," the tall one warned, and Aaron sighed.

"Threats, I want you guys to leave a message to your boss." He stood up and walked forward, then checked the time on the wall.

"Tell your boss that I will become the biggest gangster the world has ever known. A legend, and I will be back for him," he swore. He was a calm person but also a very vengeful kid.

He would have let them go if they hurt him, but they hurt the people close to him. He won't spare them.

They both burst out in laughter. "You are just a kid, and apart from your guts, you have nothing else." They mocked him, and Aaron smiled.

"You are wrong; I might not be strong like you. But I have science." Then he quickly closed his nose tightly.

His actions confused them, and then suddenly they kept on laughing and couldn't stop themselves.

"Why are we laughing?" They laughed harder, and Aaron jumped over the window with his money, and he closed the window.

He had come along with one of the chemistry interns at the laboratory and told her to release the gas after an hour when he got into the building.
