Chapter 24

　　"So you two are finally okay?"

　　Xlyde chuckled and answered, "Welcome home. You must be tired."

　　"Oh my God! What happened to my son?! You should report this to your doctor!"

　　Wait, had I heard it right?

　　They looked at me like they were being caught. My eyes smalled as I badly wanted answers to my question. Was he sick? I could sense this was about Xlyde reporting his regular checkups. Something was missing. This was so odd.

　　"Philie," Madam called me as if calming me. "Let me explain. Swear, I hid this thing for you not to make feel worried."

　　I calmed down as she held my arms. As her son said, she just arrived, she needed to rest. I would just ask Xlyde about this and let Madam leave us.

　　When Madam was upstairs, the silence between Xlyde and me fell. I was his wife. So it was my responsibility to know my husband more. I felt like I did not do my best as I failed to observe him. I should be noticing what's wrong with his wife.
