"Wha ayu doing?" Maya tried to speak, though her mouth was covered by Aru's hand.

Her eyes blazed with fury as she glared at him. In her mind, Aru had stopped her from winning the bidding war.

She had been defeated once more by the cursed kid named Kian.

The sense of humiliation washed over her.

"See, you can never win against me," Kian added fuel to the fire precisely at that moment.

"I didn't lose last time," Maya's voice cracked as she spoke.

Since awakening, both Maya and Kian had engaged in fierce competition. They battled multiple times within the clan's training ground, and each time, Maya found herself bested by him.

With every victory, Kian would mercilessly taunt her. However, Maya wasn't angered by the losses themselves. Winning and losing were normal in matches among peers.
