Third Person’s POV (12 yrs. and 8 months old)
Rize regenerated albeit slowly, he reassessed himself and found the wounds were slowly closing, but he still felt that he has enough strength to stand up, that he did, he looked in front and saw that the group was conversing and are preparing to attack.
He noticed on the peripheral view of his eyes that his forces are also slowly gaining back their footing as they too slowly regenerated their wounds and anything else that didn’t seem to be in place.
‘Who is that kid…’ he thought to himself, having remembered a vague memory of a spell that encased him in ice. ‘It can’t be him, he looks weak compared to the others.’ A thought struck him. ‘Then again, how was he able to subdue me in seconds?’
His instincts that were screaming at him from earlier suddenly came crashing down on him full force, his body felt hot of the fear that engulfed him, the signals blaring inside his head telling him to flee, but he took a deep breath as he could not give up on this endeavor.
He has waited long enough and this will be the time that he’ll conquer this world for his King, and more importantly for himself, to settle that long ass grudge he has against the citizens of this planet.
Ken noticed the stare, letting his brain go and construct different thoughts of the matter, quietly assessing whether the demon lord would attack or not. He spun his scythe once and caught the reaction he was waiting for, the demon lord’s eyes shifted agitatedly at the blade.
‘What shall I do, play? Although he is a demon lord comparable to almost one and a half of masters powers, I think I can handle, but earlier he sacrificed those demons to boost their powers, what if he sacrifices those other demons as well? Hmmm…..’ Ken thought.
‘Let’s kill the vanguards first.’ He added, unconsciously smirking to himself, the view almost crept the hell out of everyone present if not for the fact that he had composed himself right after, but the image stuck itself on the mind of the demon lord.
‘What is this child thinking?’ he thought.
“Vanguards, KILL THEM!” he ordered, desperation covered with his tone of authority over his minions, his demons complied and started advancing.
“Remember to not fight alone, defeat one demon with our numbers, I’ll keep the others busy.” said Ken to his companions, to which they nodded and prepared themselves.
“Earth Magic: Sunder.” A magic circle the color of brown suddenly appeared in front of the bunch, and in front of Ken was a magical beast with the features of an ant, an earth wave came barreling out of the magic circle carrying with it different kinds of debris but causing a crack upon its wake towards the demons.
The demons took the spell head on, unfazed by the energies colliding towards them, but what they did not take into account was the shockwave the earth wave brought with it, causing them to fly backwards -again-.
Ken stared dumbfounded at the scene, unknowns to him, his friends were dumbfounded as well.
“Let’s go.” said Mira, brandishing twin sword from her back, that has a similar feature to her armor, albeit looking a little like ant armor, her swords resemble that of mantis claws.
“What are you standing there all stupid for, aren’t you gonna keep them busy?” she asked slightly turning her head to Ken’s group. Ken snapped out of his trance, smiled and said…
“Right!” he then teleported away, appearing in mid-air above the disoriented demons. That was quick, thought Mira, and dashed forward alongside Ros, Nazir, Oldin, Harth, Klein, Alfred, Vin, Erick, Ulysses, and Lana, all brandishing with them their weapons -or fists-.
Ros and Nazir tore through the frontline that the demons had formed with their sheer force, Oldin bashed his two turtle shells on two disoriented demons from the line and followed behind the two beasts, Harth swung his blade on one demon, then transitioned to strike another in a fluid motion.
They then engaged on a fight on the demons behind the frontline.
Klein conjured ice spears at his side and used them to bore holes on a demon’s body while freezing it, Alfred and Vin capitalized on the frozen demon’s body and quickly tore through, Alfred bursting one side of the demon’s body with magic, while Vin viciously slashed at the other side.
The scene would have been pitiful if not for the fact that this was a serious situation. Three demons appeared in mid-air behind the three aiming to strike at their vitals, Erick arrived on time and plunged his sword on the ground creating a shockwave of light that pushed back the assailants.
The three nodded in thanks at Erick to which he returned the gesture and the four of them engaged in a fight on the demons nearby.
Ken who was quietly floating above the demons, suddenly plunged himself down on the ground on a densely packed demons breaking their formation while cracking the ground, holding his scythe in a menacing manner.
Ulysses who was near the area appeared in front of Ken and executed a shadow art called ‘Fol Night’, the art split him into seven copies of himself then turned into dark clouds that quickly approached the demons in mid-air.
In a split second, different slashes was performed on the demons, Ulysses reverted back to normal and closed his sword, the demons that were just pushed directly on the ground rose to attack him, he then calmly intercepted the demons blade with his own.
‘Funny, just when master had just sheathed his blade, a demon just had to jump unto him.’ thought Ken. ‘Let’s pay him a visit.’ He added, in the blink of an eye, Ken had his scythe on the throat of the demon and with one motion, severed the head from its body.
The demon’s body fell forward barely missing Ulysses as he sidestepped. Ulysses stared at Ken for a moment, to which Ken turned to his master as well, Ken gently smiled and jumped forward performing a twist in mid-air then plunged his scythe downwards again, but this time it was his blade that struck the ground sending out a shockwave pulse forward.
Ken immediately twisted his body upwards and dislodged his scythe before charging forward again after gently landing on the ground, he sliced through one demon ahead and vanished in the masses of bodies.
Ulysses felt worried for that little rascal, but when an explosion of purple magic occurred at the distance, he knew that Ken was fine. Lana on the other hand led the group of Ken into subduing demons left and right then killing them off one by one.
Their pace was greatly slow because the demons would struggle and there wasn’t that much of them to fight the demons all in one go. Rize seeing this had his anger flare up to the highest degree at his soldiers getting disposed of like trash.
“Raune, Al, dispose of them.” He said, two slim demonic figures appeared out of the shadows beside him carrying with them the stench of the darkness realm as their forms had dark swirls looking to be their clothing.
“As you wish master.” The two said, albeit creepy since they look like they don’t have faces as it too were covered in pitch black darkness. The two figures dashed forward aiming for the unsuspecting scythe wielder, hands raised to strike him down that formed into a black blade.
Ken having noticed the killing intent from far away swiftly turned around and intercepted the blades with his own blade, the collision caused a slight bounce from both weapons, but that was the only thing Ken needed to counter.
Using the momentum he got from his weapon pushed back, he repositioned his right hand to the lower part of the scythe and used the momentum to swing in a wide arc around him, the demons were familiar of such reckless type of fighting and had just immediately backed off avoiding the blade.
“Sword Style: Precision Strike.” said Ken, in an instant ten slashes were performed on the demons catching them off guard and screamed in agony a second later. Ken didn’t stop there, he dashed forward, pummeled both demons on the ground and created some distance.
“Earth Magic: Rock Barrage.” He chanted calmly, twenty rocks formed atop him and assaulted the demons below creating smoke. Are they angry? He thought. The demons ran out of the smoke directly into him blades brandished ready to cut down.
‘Bingo.’ He thought. Ken bended his body backwards avoiding the blades barely an inch, and flipped backwards while twisting in mid-air to reposition himself facing the demons.
“Ice Magic: Ice Field, Compressed Waves.” He chanted as a ball of ice formed in front of the two demons, he clicked his hands causing the ball of ice to burst and assault the senses of the demons, the energies chaotically ravaging inside their bodies.
The demons weren’t able to retaliate as the spell was executed in the blink of an eye rendering them useless against it, freezing them in an instant both inside and out as they got incased in a huge block of ice.
“Light Moon Magic: Cut of the Crescent Moon.” Ken swung his blade and out came an arc of light dashing forward cutting the demons in half, killing them both on the spot, their bodies slowly turning into ash inside the ice.
The demons that watched this ordeal felt a chill ran down their bodies after watching their brethren overpowered and killed in one fell swoop, even Rize wasn’t spared of the chill seeping through his bones.
The ordeal may have caught everyone’s attention but their focus was shifted once again on their opponent once the overwhelming feeling passed, as they returned to fighting. Ken had immediately teleported out of the battlefield, hence their quick reaction to fighting their opponents again.
He had felt that there was something bothering him on the corner of his eyes and decided that he needs to check it out right now, but he has to move to a safer location first, just on the covers of a nearby brush. Upon close inspection, the thing that was bothering him was a red dot.
He opened his notification window and out a message popped out.
[ Blunt.
Successfully hit the opponent, stunned for 0.25 seconds.]
[ Weakness.
Successfully found the opponent weakness and dealt a killing blow.]
[ Frigid.
The opponent is in stasis.]
‘What’s this?’ Ken thought. ‘Must be some kind of effects from my spells. mute! And leave only those messages that are relevant to any situation.’
‘Understood.’ replied White.
‘Now, let’s go back in the fight.’ He stood up from his location and startling the person whom was stalking towards his location, and found his mother, Lyn. Lyn jolted for a second and composed the next upon knowing that it was just her son.
“Hey ma, what are you doing here?” Ken asked.
“What do you think? I’m here to help.” replied Lyn.
“Oh okay, let’s go.” said Ken and straight up teleported away from his mother and above everyone fighting below him, he caught in his peripheral vision that the demon lord Rize was about to enter the fight. ‘Gotcha.’
Just a few distance ahead upon Rize’s attempt to salvage the situation, another figure came crashing down straight in front of him causing a burst of wind to propel everywhere.
“Wind Magic: Dance of Blades!” casted Ken, trapping the demon lord inside a cylinder of wind as wind blades formed everywhere, assaulting Rize.
“Hi demon lord, nice to meet you.” said Ken sweetly as if meeting an acquaintance, this greatly angered the demon lord, and in a strong voice he said…
“Meeting me shall be your last memory here in this world!” he dashed forward aiming his hands filled with energy on Ken despite the wind blades grazing his body.
“Oh I don’t think so, for I plan to enjoy this life and the next.” said Ken, suddenly appearing behind the demon lord in his flight. Rize hastily swung backwards, but missed Ken, he turned to lunge forward but Ken teleported away.
He frantically looked everywhere only to have himself plunged sideways as he was hit by Ken’s blunt part of his scythe.
“And you will not be the one who will stop me!” shouted Ken, and charged forward to intercept the demon lord’s landing, wind blades following his move.
Taking this brief moment of vulnerability, Ken swung the blunt part of his scythe again sideways sending the demon lord flying, he then teleported at his back to hit the demon again but was quickly intercepted as Rize struck with his sword, to shield his body.
Both parties jumped back only to rush forward again, and a series of crashing swords reverberated within the area, as the two exchanged blows after blows, after blows, although it became annoying for Rize’s part with the wind blades and all.
‘What the?! This is a kid? How can he keep up with me?!’ thought Rize, his expression of discomfort and frustration as evident as day unknowingly visible to Ken. And Ken lavished in the response he got.
‘Serves you right.’ thought Ken. Right at this moment, Ken’s anger felt like bounds upon bounds of oceans, and as a demon, Rize was sensitive to such emotions since they were fueled and created by such emotions from the physical realm, but this,
This emotion he could not quite grasp or take power from, nor can he ever touch, only to feel, as if this type of anger cannot be drawn from, as this emotion tramples him.
Everyone outside the cylinder had paused for a moment before abruptly getting back into the fight, this time the demons were quickly overwhelmed from everywhere as reinforces from the magical beasts arrived at the scene, especially the other women of the group.
They had quickly and efficiently took care of the remaining demons and killed them through Lana, Felsin, Erick, and Wilbert’s light magic.
“Show-off.” said Allen to no one in particular, watching as the silhouette’s of two people inside the cylinder dashed up and about everywhere.
“Hm?” asked Celine who heard him, slowly treating one of her wounds.
“Nothing, here let me help.” said Allen and executed a healing spell on the wound on Celine’s left arm.
“Thank you, but you’re wounded as well.” said Celine.
“I’ll heal it later.” replied Allen.
“No, that won’t do. Wilbert! Please come help us!” she said. Wilbert who heard his name immediately came forward to them in a jog. “Please heal Allen.” Wilbert at Celine’s request healed a wound on Allen’s right abdomen.
The three formed what seemed to be an awkward position to heal a person since one was healing the other while sitting, while another was healing the person who was also healing another person while crouching, but the three paid it no mind, they are not that offended or thought otherwise of the situation.
