Chapter 22: "Surrounded: A Desperate Rescue"

Kai and Zac ventured into the forest, searching for the rare herb. After hours of trekking, they finally found it. But their triumph was short-lived, as they were suddenly surrounded by five monstrous wolves - "Fangborn" - their eyes blazing with hunger.

Kai drew his daggers, ready to defend himself and Zac. He took down two wolves with swift precision, but not without sustaining injuries. As he protected Zac, the wolves ganged up on him, their jaws snapping mere inches from his face. Kai's vision blurred, his strength waning.

Just as all hope seemed lost, a young man appeared, his sword flashing in the sunlight. "Turtle Style Triple Slash!" he shouted, striking down three wolves with a single, fluid motion.

The young man turned to Kai and Zac, his eyes filled with concern. "Are you two okay? We need to get out of here, fast!"

Kai nodded weakly, his vision fading. "Thanks...we owe you one..."

The young man smiled, helping Kai and Zac to their feet. "No need to thank me, I'm just glad I arrived in time. My name is Leo, by the way."

As they made their way back to the village, Kai couldn't help but feel grateful for their mysterious savior. Little did he know, this was only the beginning of their adventures together.
