Her self esteem is not very high in the first place, and she has an inferiority complex towards her sister (not really a shock considering the stark differences in their treatment). Her expectations have also died somewhat. When she assumes something about other people, take it with a grain of salt. In the end, read this if you're looking to cry or be in angst.
