Chapter 5: The Vile Witch

          It has been five years since the appearance of gates. It has brought those abominable monsters and dungeons that have changed the whole world. The society and hierarchy of of the world was renewed. It was like that the whole world was brought back to primitive ages where the strong at the top and rules over the weak and pathetic people.

Places and structures are destroyed. Many people died and was killed by monsters. And in the future, it was certain that the population of the people would continuously dwindle. With every appearance of the gates and the monster outbreaks, more people would be killed.

Humans may have adapted to the current events and changes that happened, but not all of them was granted the privilege to adapt and become strong. Many percentage of the people are normal humans. And within those awakened people, S rank people are a very rare rarity of rarities.

In the United Kingdom, only 4 people were the known S class for the first 3 years since the gate has appeared.

The 1st S rank was the Golden Ace Kester McColl. He have been awakened as S class during the first year appearance of the gates. He was a ranger and known for his crossbow.

In the second year of the appearance of the gates, two S rank hunters has been awakened. The Forest King Deri Cadogan, and the Azure Jack Harper Wright. The Forest King was a tanker who has a special skill that allowed him to be invulnerable to physical, magical and status attacks for 3 minutes. It was because of that skill that allowed him to become an S rank hunter in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Azure Jack Harper Wright was an assassin. It was said that he was a very cunning individual. People were wary of him. Many Hunters prefer to avoid him as soon as they saw a glimpse of his figure.

Lastly, the S rank hunter who have appeared during the year 3rd of the appearance of the gates was said to be the most strongest S rank hunter in United Kingdom. The 4th S rank hunter have appeared and dethroned the King on his title of the being the strongest hunter within the UK.

S rank hunter Aine Harwin. A fighter class hunter who was known for her ferocious and insane attacks. She was described as brutal and savage by the hunters association of United kingdom. Just like the Azure Jack Harper Wright, people would prefer to stay away from her. It was described that she was a beautiful woman. But many men would run away if they saw her face.

There were certain rumors of people who have offended her. It was said that those men who have insulted her by saying "slut" or made lewd remarks when she was still not known as a S rank hunter were hospitalized.

Other than being known as the Crimson Queen, she has an epithet of  "Bloody Breaker". Just hearing that title would make people be wary of her.

They were the United Kingdom's Royal Hunters. But recently, during the 4th year of December, another S rank hunter were added to their ranks. The white joker Noah Williams. His appearance have cause some turbulence on the 4 royal Hunters who was the guild leader of their own guilds.

Even through the 4 hunters were part of the United Kingdom, they have their own ambitions and ideologies. Mixing them together would always cause chaos and destroyed buildings according to the United Kingdom's hunter association.

The appearance of Noah Williams caused an imbalance within the political factions of the Royal Alliance. An S rank hunter from England. Just like the Azure Jack Harper Wright. And an S rank Healer who was popular to the people of United Kingdom.

United Kingdom. Cardiff, Wales. January 23rd– 5 years after the gates appearance. United Kingdom's Hunter Association Main Branch.

  " You bitch! "

A resounding slap that echoed in main hall of the Hunter's association followed after those words. The man who said those offending word can feel the stinging pain on his face. Currently, his anger has disappeared. His mind was blanking out to shock to form words. He was maybe surprised that the woman would dare to slap him.

The other people who was busy on their own businesses and talking to each other turned their heads when they heard the commotion. It was not really unusual for some people to have an argument in the Hunter's association every now and then, but some people can't help to listen and look every time that this kind of commotion and drama is happening. For some of them, cases like this was a way of entertainment for their shitty life since the gates have started appearing.

This time, they weren't disappointed. The man who was slapped was a recent popular B rank hunter who received an awakening and become an A rank hunter, Conrad Donaum. And the woman who slapped the said A rank hunter was the S rank hunter Noah Williams older stepsister, Agatha Evans.

Some onlookers has no clue on how it devolved into this. They only knows that Agatha and Conrad used to be a sweet couple for a few weeks ago until this fight happened all of a sudden.

" Call me a bitch again, and not only your dignity in front of the people would be tarnished. "

Agatha says while a mocking smirk formed on her face. Her former boyfriend, Conrad Donaum glared at her. Both of his hands formed into fist. He have done a lot for this woman and she would just pay him for this humiliation. She was just a D rank hunter. How dare she do this to him?

Conrad glared at her before giving his angry gaze to the onlookers. Some bystanders pretended to don't see his glare while the others started whistling innocently. Gnashing his teeth in frustration, he decided to leave the Hunter's Association.

A few minutes passed after that, one of the onlookers whooped in joy.

" Haha! My skills and predictions are correct guys! Give me my money now! I won the bet bastards! "

The one of the onlookers was happened to be Agatha's usual teammate in the D rank dungeons, Johan Windsor. The people beside Johan grumbled and grudgingly give him his rewards.

Everything went back to their business when the fight ended. Only this time, Agatha walked towards her dungeon teammates.

" Betting on me again huh? "

She give one of her sweetest smile towards her D rank dungeon teammates. Some of them couldn't help but blush. But then they remembered what happened earlier. Johan who was also mystified by her smile immediately refuted.

" Well, it wasn't our fault that you keep changing boyfriends like how you keep changing clothes. "

All of Agatha's teammates agreed on that sentiment. Other than being the S rank healer's older stepsister, she was infamous for keep breaking up with her boyfriends. No one knows the reason why she keep breaking up with them. She appeared to be sweet and loving towards her boyfriend at the start, but then she would immediately break up with them after a few weeks. Every break up, it looks like that she wasn't affected with her break ups with her boyfriends.

On the United Kingdom's hunter association, she was known as a 'bitch'. But nobody dared to say it to her face, until what happened a few moments ago.

Agatha smiled at Johan's comment. She raise her hand to pat the high school boy's head.

" Since you are benefiting with my situation, how about you share some of your winnings? "

She asked smiling. Johan look at his recently earned money and her. Then he look back to his money again.

" I... "

His other teammates were looking forward to his reply.

They weren't disappointed when he went to stock the bills inside the large pocket of his brown coat and give one bill of money to Agatha.

" Here. Sis, Aga you can have it. "

Their teammates started laughing.

" You brat... "

Agatha sighed. This kid was stingy as always.

" Since the drama is finished, let's go and earn some money inside a dungeon. "

" Aye, aye captain! "

" Yes, Sis Aga. "

" Your pretty sis Aga! "

" Can I know the secret to your beauty Sis Aga? "

Agatha walk towards the exit of the Hunter's Association. Her teammates are behind her following like a lost little ducklings. The hunters briefly sent a curious gaze at them. She received Agatha's gaze and quickly avoided it.

" So where are we going Sis Aga? "

Ophelia, one of their mages other than Johan asked her.

" Scotland. One of my acquaintances informed me that a E rank dungeon has recently opened. "

" Only E rank? "

Ophelia pouted when she heard it. Johan sent her a look.

" It's better that it was a low rank dungeon, than it being a dangerous one. "

" But we wouldn't earn more money Johan. Aren't you looking forward to more money? "

She then gestured the money sign as they walk. Their other teammates look at the two youngest members of their group and sighed. Here they go again. They thought inside their minds.

" Remember that we just happened to be lucky at C rank dungeon.... We we're nearly killed there. "

" But.. We were– "

Agatha brought her hands at the top of their heads and proceeded to whack them.

" Ouch! " " What the hell?! "

They both said at the same time. But when they stared at their Team leader's silver eyes they immediately behaved their selves.

" We would be going on the dungeon. I don't want to see you two fighting later. Got it? "

"" Yes. ""

" Good. As for the problem of the money.... Considering that it was said to be estimated as an E rank dungeon.. You can divide the money among yourselves. "

" Really?! "

Ophelia and Johan ask excitedly. Their mind immediately flown towards the amount of money that they would earn.

The other members was also excited when they heard it. Including the team members, there are a total of 10 D rank hunters in their team. Usually, 25% of the earnings went to Agatha. But with her words, even it was an E rank dungeon they would earn a decent amount.

" Thank you Captain! "

The other members immediately said.

" As long as you do your best to kill the monsters in the dungeon and cooperate with each other, I would have no problem. My acquaintance has told me this E rank dungeon, since she was hoping that I would do my best to clear the dungeon. "

The team members gulped unconsciously when Agatha gave them a serious gaze. Currently, they were at the front of the Hunter's Association. The sun hasn't risen yet so there wasn't much people.

" It was our responsibility if a monster break happens, got it? "

"" Yes! ""

A smirk then appeared on Agatha's face as her eyes formed into crescents.

" Good, I was looking forward to your performance. "

"" Yes, Captain! ""

Soon they reach the gate of the hunter's association. They could also see their car on one of the parking lot. The members excitedly went inside the van.

" Hey, Team Leader please hurry up! "

" Wait, I haven't still have my sunglasses on. "

Agatha grumbled while caressing the many pockets of her winter coats.

" Just where is my sunglasses? Did I left it on that jerk's house? "

She soon grown impatient a few seconds.

" Where is my sunglasses?! "

Inside the car, Johan sighed. He then gestured that it was on the top of her head since she couldn't hear him inside with the glass blocking out his voice.

Agatha understood Johan's gesture. She couldn't help but also be a little embarrassed.

When she was ready to put on the sunglasses that was just resting at the top of her head, Agatha happened to look into the gate of the hunter's association.

A blond haired man with silver blue eyes was walking followed by a woman dress in a secretary outfit. And they were being escorted by two bodyguards.

Agatha's gaze went frosty.

" Will you the one who would drive the Van, Captain? "

" I am. "

Agatha said while not taking off her gaze, on the man. That man happened to just be her stepbrother S rank Healer, Noah Williams.
