Do the windy thing

"Hari-san I need a new cloak, and maybe some bracers!" I said entering the Shinobi shop I've sworn my loyalty to.

"Sozo-kun? Is that you," said a voice from the back of the store.

"Yeah!"

This Shinobi shop was the one I originally got my stuff the day of my graduation, at the time Hari's father was the one manning the store. He's a practical man, does not have the patience for small talk so it's straight to the point with him, the complete opposite of Hari.

"How many times have I told you! Call me Onee-san!" She yells in reply.

"I don't know, like four times?"

"Then why haven't you listened to your Onee-san?"

"I'm not calling you that."

Leaving the back room she slams her hands down on the counter.

"my apologies dear customer but it appears you are now banned from this store," Hari says, a smug look on her face.

Letting out a deep sigh I say, "I want a family discount."

"Deal!"

"Anyways… Nee-san," Hari's face lit up, "I need a new cloak and would like to look at some bracers."

"What happened to your other cloak?"

"I jumped threw some fire."

"Why'd ya do that?"

"To get to the Shinobi on the other side." I day like its the most obvious thing in the world.

"Oh… were they an.." Hari says, clearly curious but hesitant to ask, probably because of my age.

"Yes they were an enemy, Suna Shinobi to be exact," I reply.

"Were you injured?"

"A little on my hands and arms but my cloak took the brunt of it, don't suppose I could get one that's a bit more resilient to fire? I don't need a waterproof one, I can just use seals to achieve similar results."

She doesn't need to know I was stabbed.

"I think I have something, won't be the same color, and might be a little big. Follow," she said walking into the back.

Following Hari she begins to rummage through some boxes.

"Ever consider organizing? How do you even find anything back here."

The back was a mess of boxes and various people of equipment all over the floor.

"I manage. Oh, here we are."

Pulling out a nice hickory brown cloak that was longer than my previous cloak, which only went down to my waist.

Turning she pulled the clock around me, securing it before backing away.

"You look adorable."

Looking down i saw it almost reached the ground, "I don't know it's.. um.. a little long,"

"You'll grow into it!"

"I.. guess I'll take it."

"Excellent," she says clapping her hand together, "now let's look at some bracers."

Pulling me to a different part she begins to examine various different bracers before tossing them and grabbing a new pair.

"This one's perfect! It'll go great with your new cloak."

"Where's the other one?"

"Um… try this on," she said, handing me the lone bracer before looking around for the other one.

Putting on the bracer i secur it.

I'm definitely gonna trick these out with seals. Ohh I can put my barrier seal on them, once I finish it of course.

"Found it!"

Hari came running over to me bracer in hand identical to the one I already have around my arm.

"These cover your arms and some of your hands, your fingers will still be exposed so try not to jump through some more fire."

"I'll try."

"That's my Otõto." She said patting my head.

It's for the family discount.

"I also need another sword identical to this one," I say, setting my sword on the counter.

Picking up the sworn Hari began to examine it, "where'd ya get this?"

"From a friend, why?"

"This is a really nice sword, top of the line quality too, if you want a sword like this it'll take some time, mind if I hold onto it? I need to show my father."

"Sure, but if I need it I'm going to have to track you down so don't be surprised if I show up to your house in the middle of the night."

"No problem."

"Alright, that will be 10,000 ryõ."

"Jesus that's expensive,"

"Who's that?"

"Huh? Who's what."

"Thus Jesus guy?"

"Oh.. um.. it's nothing, just something I say out of habit more than anything else."

"Oh ok.. is it kinda how some people swear by The Sage of Six Paths?"

"Kinda I guess, is The Sage of Six Paths worshiped?"

"Oh yeah, especially in the capital city and a few places here in Konoha, do Shinobi worship The Sage of Six Paths?"

"Not any I know. I think?"

"Huh? Well anyways thanks for your money Otõto."

"Yeah, yeah, tell next time Nee-san," I say walking out the door."

Ok let's waterproof my clock and maybe a few other things.

Guess Hari's shop wasn't an isolated incident. The prices of a lot of things are going up with the whole war thing.

That sucks.

I'm currently doing some shopping. The price for stuff is steadily going up, even the civilians who always gave good deals are charging quite a lot.

I understand tho, the village is gonna let the civilians starve before they do anything to hinder Shinobi. Not that it's gotten to that point, I'm also fairly certain I'm being charged more because I'm a Shinobi.

"Stupid war," I say hoping onto a nearby roof.

I'm spending a lot of money today. I should do some D-ranks, making some money is always nice.

"Who are you and what have you done with my Sensei?" I accuse the imposter Orochimaru, "my Sensei would never have an interest in my training."

"Sozo you wound me, you are my precious student, of course i have an interest in your training," Orochimaru said in mock offensive.

"I'm guessing you finished whatever it is that's been taking up all your time?

"Yes and no, I'm far from being done, but all I can do now is wait."

"Don't suppose you'll let me in on your little project anytime soon? Or any future projects?"

"Well see." Orochimaru said a smiling briefly before

Well that's something i guess.

"Anyways, what are we doing?"

Orochimaru pulled a white paper before offering it to me.

"What's this?"

"It will tell us your elemental affinities, channel some chakra into it."

"Alright."

Channeling some chakra into the paper it split in two, "what's that mean?"

"How peculiar, your primary affinity is wind. That's quite rare, not many have an wind affinity in the leaf."

"Huh? Neat."

Wind seems useful, I have seen wind cut through some really thick trees.

"All right," I say clapping my hands, "now what."

"Now you show me I was right to choose you as my student," Orochimaru said as he summoned a very fimiler snake.

"Hello Hatchling," my personal tormentor said.

"One of these days you gotta tell me your name." I say reaching for my sword only to grab air.

Oh yeah…

Well shit.

-------------------------------------

I didn't choose Sozo's affinity, I put the elements in a randomizer and it landed on wind. I even put fire in there twice because its the most common, but fate has chosen wind. Also I haven't a clue about how much things cost in Naruto so 10,000 ryõ was just a number I picked.
