10 Chapter 10: A Bad Dream

Sakura jerked awake. Dawn was crying and she could hear that singing again. It was getting closer and closer... Sakura peeked through the gap in the door. She gasped as she saw an eerie white glow emanating from around the corner next to the stairs.

She slowly got Dawn to go into her cot, which was attached to Sakura's bed, just in case. Dawn fell sound asleep and Sakura sighed in relief.

Jasmine and Autumn were still asleep, in their bunk beds. Sakura peeked outside again and gasped [Again] for there was a girl who was Sakura's age, floating towards her, singing her bittersweet song.

'Roses are Red, Dilly Dilly,

Violets are Blue,

Because you love me Dilly, Dilly,

I will love you.'

The girl had grin across her face which Sakura later realised was pierced into her skin, so that she was smiling from ear to ear. The girl had long brown hair and huge green eyes that had tears flowing from them. Sakura recognised her at once. It was her aunt, Rosabel. She had seen her in the House History book. The brown hair that was once glossy, long and tidy was charred and burnt, wild and crazy. Her green eyes that were lively and the colour of emeralds, had lost their life and their spark.

Sakura gasped, tears streaming down her face as she woke up. It was only a dream.

Thank Goodness.
