CHAPTER 77: DISTRESS 3

Marylyn sat on the bed, reading a magazine, waiting for her husband to finish his bath and join her.

Marylyn was no fool; she had once been a maiden, so she couldn't have failed to notice that her daughter was up to something. When Freya arrived to pick her up, she had that expression on her face.

When she refused to accompany the guards, she began to become suspicious. Her daughter was sneaking around to spend time with her boyfriend, which was simply hilarious.

She wasn't sure how she felt because a part of her didn't like it when Arianna went to spend the weekend with her boyfriend because she was well aware of what might happen there.

The other part of her was relieved that Maxim cared enough to pay a visit to her daughter. She still didn't understand why he was with her daughter, but that will have to wait until she meets the man in person.
