The Mana System Of The Apocalypse

Gods out looking for entertainment decide to have what they called Universal Supremacy. This is my story of how I became the new God. Like any other day or like no other everyone on the planet all heard the voice claiming to be our creator all at the same time. "Mortals your progress is too slow for me and we am running out of time. So to speed things up, I will be releasing mana to your galaxy. Grow strong and grow fast so that you may one day fight for supremacy and rule by my side." And that my dear readers is how I started my journey to becoming the new God.

Damsel In Distress

Having taken care of the shadow cat in the garage, Joe and I walked around to find a suitable vehicle for the trip. We did not run into zombies or beasts, so we assumed that the shadow cat killed them all. Searching for another ten minutes, we finally found something worth driving. It was an all-black hummer with tinted windows. The hummer rims were painted black with big offroad size tires on them. It was roomy, had a strong body, and looked nice; the perfect vehicle for us.

"Dwayne, I call dibs on driving it first."

"That's cool because you know how I am about long drives anyway."

"Let's get Crystal out and see if we can charge the battery and how long it will last."

With a wave of my hand, Crystal appears and takes up all the free space we had. I seriously need to make her smaller again now that she is taking up too much room.

"Crystal see if you can charge this battery without blowing up the car?"

Bark bark, "Yes, Master."

Crystal slowly puts electricity into the hummer battery, and in less than a minute, the battery starts to smoke.

"Damn, is mana infused electricity that strong. It seems that all it would take is a small spark to power it. But the question now is how long it will last?"

"That's true Joe, how about we go around and collect all the batteries that might fit and bring them with us just in case. As for gas, I have plenty because I emptied a gas station earlier."

One hour later, Joe and I met back up with about thirty batteries that looked like they could fit in the hummer. After we tried them, only fifteen could work in the hummer correctly, but we still took them all just in case. Having Crystal charge one of the batteries with a tiny spark, she gave the hummer another quick shock to start it up.

Seeing that the hummer was now running, I stored it with all the batteries and Crystal into my space pendent. Joe and I headed back out to the main road, and I dropped the hummer out, ready to get our trip underway.

Joe excitedly hops into the driver seat, and I, the passenger, but it didn't take long before the zombies were attracted to the noise of the vehicle. But that didn't stop Joe from mashing on the gas and speeding down the road towards the highway.

Someone from the building next door saw us driving by and was calling us for a ride. Joe and I chose not to stop as we had a long trip and didn't want to bring any burdens with us.

As we moved along the highway, there was a trail of slowing-moving zombies following us through chaos and destruction on the road. I let Crystal out to move all the immobile vehicles out the way and Sakura out to take care of any zombies that get too close to us along the way. When we ran into any Slashers or bashers, it was Joe and my time to shine.

Calling it good luck or bad, it didn't take long before we ran into a slasher. It was a tough battle for Joe because the Slasher was moving too quickly for him. Joe was on the defensive for most of the fight in the beginning.

Taking a hard roll to dodge the attack towards his head, Joe jumps up from the floor with an astonished but pissed look on his face. He was amazed at how fast these zombies were but upset that it almost cut him because he didn't take the battle seriously.

Setting his fist with bright yellow flames, he got into his fighting stance and was focused on the battle. The Slasher took off at its fastest speed heading straight for Joe. But Joe stands there waiting for the last minute to sidestep the slash attack and bring all his might into his right fist. When Joe's first connected with the ribs of the Slasher, it flew like a cannonball and smashed into the railing on the highway. Struggling to get back up, the Slasher falls over once more before Joe sends two basketball-sized fireballs towards its head, killing it.

Joe stood there for a moment to take in the battle he had just experienced while Sakura, Crystal, and I waited at the side. After he was finished analyzing his fight, he turned to me with a grin on his face. Right away, I knew that just like me, he loved the feeling of getting stronger and saw the prospects of what we could build if we became more substantial.

Back on the road, we continued our journey north towards D'ville.

With Joe killing two Slashers along the way, he was finally at level 10, just one step away from ranking up.

A day later, Joe and I saw a woman fighting fiercely against a small horde of zombies by herself. She was doing good at first, but we both could tell that she was running low on mana.

The crazy thing was, she was throwing ice arrows everywhere. Stepping outside the hummer, we felt like the temperature dropped a few degrees, and we were already so far away. She looked like an ice goddess the way she moved in between the zombies as she shot through their heads with an ice arrow or just froze them to death.

"Bro, don't you think this girl looks familiar?" Joe asks Dwyane

"Yea, now that you say that, I think she kinda looks like Michelle. But Michelle was never this strong or brave."

"You never know, bro. Things can have changed."

"True; anyway, there is a Basher and two Slashers heading her way lets give her a hand and find out after if it's her."

Joe and I moved out at the same time. I teleported across space and headed for the basher while Joe shot flames out his hands to propel him towards one of the slashers.

After blinking twice across space, I appeared right behind the basher's head. As soon as I appeared behind it, the basher tried to turn around and attack me with its massive fist. But before he could completely turn around, I was covered in my speed suit, raising my speed by a notch; I took my destruction spear out of my space pendent. Stabbing the basher with my spear point covered in space element, I blew a hole right through its head and killed it on the spot.

Connecting with Crystal and Sakura mentally, I tell them to help clean up the other zombies in the area. It didn't take long before sparks of lightning and plant roots were seen all over the battle field wiping out all the zombies.

Taking this time, I take full notice of the beautiful chocolate brown-skinned girl killing the zombies. She had the perfect coke bottle shape, with luscious and juicy lips. Black curly hair raised into a massive puff on her head. She was wearing a Jordan tracksuit the fits perfectly to the curves of her body. With each swing of her arms, the ample breast on her chest bounced up and down. With one look, it was easy to tell she was the epitome of beauty and elegance. But with a hint of bravery and heroines.

'Michelle has never looked more beautiful than she does right now," thought Dwayne. Looking to my right, I watch Joe's fight.

Joe came speeding down the road with his flame propelling him forward, he came to a sudden stop with a trail of fire behind him. Joe throws a basketball-sized fireball at the nearest Slasher with one hand and shoots a fire arrow at the other with his other hand. Two quick sudden attacks, but one of the slashers dodged in the nick of time. While the other had a flaming hole through its head because the arrow came too fast for it to avoid.

The Slasher that was able to dodge the fireball attack shifts all focus on Joe and speeds toward him. Joe wastes no time and dashes towards the Slasher too with his hands encased in flames ready for close combat. Once they got in range of each other Joe stops and ducks its first attack and sends his left fist into its knee breaking it completely. It falls to the floor and tries to struggle back to its feet. Not being able to feel pain it struggles towards Joe with no care or fear for its broken leg. Looking down at it some distance away Joe fires a flame arrow through its head to kill it.

Joe turned around just in time to see the beautiful girl throwing herself into Dwayne's arms.

"See, I told you, bro, that was Michelle."

"Dwayne, I was on my way to find you; I can't believe you came to find me first."

"I know how you feel, but we can talk after we take care of the rest of the zombies."

"Yes, your right; let's kill all these damn zombies so we can catch up."

Fifteen minutes later, all the zombies in the area were killed.

Finding a gas station to recover our mana, Joe, Michelle and I left the scene.

"Dwayne, I missed you so much," Michelle said as she kissed me.

"Ok, calm down and tell me how you have been."

"I'll leave you two love birds alone to talk. Hahaha"

"Thanks, Joe. I wanted some alone time with Dwayne."
