The Lost War...or maybe not (INGLES)

Sheltered by the night, the rain falls softly on their buildings, while the sound of cars and people with their umbrellas can be heard all over the city.

Seeing next to him a pile of corpses and people running, the calm of the city has disappeared from one moment to another, they have arrived...the people are running, nobody knows where they came from, but they show no mercy, lights come out of their hands and strange sticks, some have robes and others look like monsters. They are hunting them... the young man must escape or they will catch him.

In his flight he hears a man screaming for help, while his skin is ripped off by a monster. The creature easily lifts the man by his legs ready to devour him in one bite. Frightened, the young man can only watch it cry for help.

 What can I do? What should I do? –

He picks up a stone and an iron he finds on the floor.

– I'm coming... –

Before he could even run, the man's scream silenced him, looking the young man in the eye and telling him without speaking his last request for help... only the lower part of his body was left.

– No...I must go, excuse me –

The monster is now after him, in desperation he throws the stone at the beast's head, managing to stun it, and escapes before it reacts. Throughout the city there were monsters hunting, and the hooded humans with the flashes of their hands disappeared the population, leaving some with third-degree burns.

The young man, scared like everyone else, tried to flee the place, even if it seemed impossible.

Before going any further, some hooded men manage to subdue him, and one of them is armed.

– Looks like you've run out of road kid, you see, I was able to take this toy away from that man who kept nagging, I'd like to try it if you don't mind, just...don't take it personally –.

Pointing the gun at his head, she smiled sweetly looking into his eyes.

Then, a shot hits the shoulder of the hooded man, deflecting the bullet a little.

In the commotion, the young man grabs the iron he dropped to break the head of the stranger who is already bleeding to death on the ground...

As the young man looked at the bloodied body and the others who looked at him with hatred, he had a panic attack. Instantly armed officers pushed the hooded men back and saw the bloodied young man with the lifeless body of his attacker next to him.

Everyone starts shooting. Having only the option to escape from the place, he looks for a place to hide.

Far from the city still under attack, in the blinding darkness, the young man walks while the pain increases in his bloody shoulder, he can still hear the terrifying roars and multiple gunshots.

From the sky, spheres of energy were falling, impacting the city with a great explosion, in the distance you could hear the screams of spells that could only be heard in fantasy stories, and in the streets the corpses of people everywhere were increasing scandalously, all burned or incomplete bodies, without exception.

It was then that lightning began to strike, directed at the army that arrived trying to stop the invaders; and as if Mother Nature had betrayed man, she began to reveal herself; roots emerged that trapped civilians and protected from bullets the hooded men who indeed looked like wizards.

Police sirens were silent before the explosions of battle; And in the sky appeared a small cyclone of bright light, through which came out more wizards and other red creatures with horns and axes, ready to fight.

A great distance from the chaos in a small pine forest, the young man lies bleeding and tired from the bullet in his shoulder.

– My whole body hurts and I feel dizzy...I must go on...I must seek...help –

– Wretched human! –

Stopping dead in his tracks, he turns fearfully toward the voice that was shouting at him.

– I think I've come this far... –

This one was not like the other monsters, as it is bigger and looked very angry. Resigned the young man looks defiantly at the monster straight into the eyes that seemed to glow in the dark.

– Shit, I'm going to be eaten –

– Finally I find you! –

The intense voice and roar of a creature emerges from the darkness looking at him with its red eyes that screamed the desire for blood and its fangs and claws were ready to tear the flesh with violence, its body black as the night could reach 3 meters, it looked like a tiger, but one that was never seen before.

Contemplating his approaching end, the young man with his last breath was ready to fight for his life.

Tired, sore and with an iron as a weapon, he could only see the city burning and how the animal ran in his direction ready to tear him apart.
