first mega mutant

We were walking along the river, to find a city, to get some resource from.

After an hour we chose a place to stay for the night. It's at least a kilometre away from the place we settled in yesterday.

After we prepared the hut again, I caught some fish for dinner.

then I wandered off. There wasn't anything within 10 mitre radius.

When I came back and was getting everything ready, I felt earthquake.

It's a gigantic crocodile like creature, it has it's eyes on us. It was looking for prey and we were it's prey.

I shouted "RUN!" as I got ready to face this creature.

It's body was 30 feet in size, it's scales almost looks like some metal, it's tooth are as sharp as an army knife, and I don't know about it's strength, but it must be strong.

As I was thinking of a plane it swiftly came near me and tried to bite my leg off. I leaped towards right to dodge the bite and attacked it by the axe.

The attack didn't even left a scratch, running wasn't an option, I couldn't dodge it forever either. To kill it I was needed to attack it at it's bottom where it has near to no scales.

As I was looking through the surroundings I saw a pit right before a tree. If only I can trick it to fall there, I should be able to kill it.

Afterwards it attacked again and I had to leap towards the right again, it is gonna take another 4 leaps to the right if I want to be right before the pit and then, I think I know what to do.

It again attacked me but this time it jumped and went for my arm, I was able to barely dodge it, but I had to leap towards the left to do so. Now I will need to go towards right one more time.

I moved in a way that it might think I'm gonna leap towards the left. It attacked accordingly meanwhile I was able to go towards the pit, but it attacked right away, this time it almost got me, but I was able to leap backwards and dodge it's attack, fortunately it's not in my way.

I was standing there staring at the thing. This thing really doesn't look like a crocodile, just the body structure and moving method is of a crocodile. It's much greenish in colour, it have a bit too smooth scale pattern, it's head is smaller than a normal crocodile relative to it's body and it's agility is very low. It can't turn while attacking even if it's on the ground.

It wasn't even moving, I had to make a move or this wold went on forever. I had the spear put in place by my shirt, I slowly took it out with one arm. I now have axe on one arm and spear on the other.

I suddenly moved towards the wright not giving the crocodile a chance to react, when it attacked I was at front of the pit.

it opened it's mouth to bite me. I quickly put the spear in his moth blocking it, but I couldn't get away from it quickly and went down the pit with it.

My hand landed on a crack, and so I didn't got any serious injury, but I won't be able to use my left arm properly for a while.

On the other hand the crocodile fell on it's back shaking it's head left and right as it struggled to get back on it's foot. the spear didn't broke though. The wood was much more resilient to pressure than cut.

I killed it by my axe and took it's scale but what made me the most curious was it's blood. It is a greenish red colour. The lions that I fought yesterday had normal blood, so why didn't it had the same colour?

Anyways I had to get up but I can't get out by myself.

as I thought about it I realised I don't know where she was, she was the only one who could help me in a situation like this.

I shouted " Hey! are you there, ahh...."

'I haven't asked her name have I? How can I forget such a thing? Then I must not have introduced myself properly either. I should have done that the first day I met her.' I thought.

Anyways she replied ''yes?''

" Can you please take some of the unused vine tie one end of it with one of the tree and throw the other end into this pit." I requested.

She done as I instructed and I got out.

After we have finished dinner, I caught some more fish for the night.

Afterwards I scratched the trees with the scales to give them that crocodile's scent.

well it worked, even after half a night no creature came so I was able to sleep without fear.

'before we go I think I should see if I could find something to make a weapon.'

I went to the other side of the river. After only 15 minutes of walk I got a skeleton as hard as I needed.

Afterwards I went back with two long bone. I carved some spots for the scales and it was a perfect feet, it looks like this bone have some glue like property, when given enough strain. because of that the scales won't come of. Then I carved the bone along with the scales attached to it by the remaining scales in a way that it looks somewhat like a sword.

I still have a lot of scales, I thought one can melt it like iron so I should keep them. for now this two swords will do it. though before my hand heals I can only use one of them.

well it turned out to be pretty light. I could swing it with one hand without problem. "let's test it."

I looked for a strong tree, there was a three feet wide tree, it's the sword's length. I chose that tree to test.

*Slice* the tree fell down with one slice it's really good.

Okay then I would wake her up after another hour, and we would continue our journey afterwards.
