The Author's POV.

Grandmother was happy when she saw the expression the queen mother gave when the guard approached her. They were not close enough for her to listen to their conversation. However, the old woman knew the news he would not favor the queen nor princess.

"What do you think, granny?" Rosalind asked with her eyes on the queen. She was dying from curiosity. What did the guard say to the queen mother that made her go pale?

"I think it has to do with our dear Alistair," A smile appeared on the old woman's face even though she was not sure of herself. "It seemed our boy has refused to come downstairs…just like we expected."

Rosalind laughed and when she noticed that the people were looking at her, she began to cough. Quickly, a female servant rushed to her side with a cup of water.
