Even the girl he loved did the same. when Ken thought everything was over, a light overwhelms his conscious and he wakes up with an incredible amount of knowledge. Now, using the new powers he receives, he rises back up from the bottom and swears vengeance. "This time...I will not be tricked and THE HERO WILL DIE!!!"

"Impossible!!! How are you still alive!! We clearly saw you die back then!!" Shouts the hero.

I look at his surprised face and smirked.

"Don't worry...for someone like you, a quick painless death is not worth it," I say, plunging a sword into his leg.

"ARGHHHH!!!!"

He screams in agony.

As I listen to this scream, I start to feel some sort of excitement in me.

Without a doubt, there's something wrong in my head. How can I smile and enjoy torturing someone so much?!

Ah...it must be because this guy is trash. Yes, that's right, the bastard who harassed and killed my sister, the bastard who tricked me, the bastard who...is the real monster in this world.

"Don't worry, Carlo, the hero, your companions will soon join you in hell!"

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

The echo!!! The scream!!! The despair!!! This is perfect for revenge!!!!

All this happened when I was betrayed by the hero's party.

2 years ago, portals suddenly start appearing around the world and monsters from the portals rampaged and killed lots of humans all over the globe.

However, at the same time. A system appears and grants selected individual humans power. Those humans use their power to fight dungeons and monsters to prevent chaos and maintain peace.

The hero is one of the strongest fighters in the world.

His party consists of lots of members. But the fatalities slowly increased at the party, even my best friend...

Yes, although we "hunters" earn a lot of money, our lives are at risk every single day.

My role is a knight. Carlo is a hero. He is my bully from back in high school. But now, even he is making buckets of cash per day despite being such a failure.

But, his heroic act and behaviour start to change and I start to view him in a new light. He cared for me and protected me when possible.

But now that I think about it, ALL OF IT IS PURE RUBBISH.

As expected from my high school bully, he was acting. He wasn't righteous...he was corrupted.

He sounds sorry and looks sad for any deaths but is always back to normal the next day. I don't even sense a trace of sorrow in him.

But I didn't think too much...about it.

The consequence? Their betrayal towards me...or should I say, they have never viewed me as a comrade.

All of them...even the girl I loved, is all scheming corrupted piece of trash.

They were keeping me around as fodder...as bait...
