The nurse appeared at the door, signaling the end of their visit. Lisa stood up, her legs feeling like molten lead.

She glanced back at Ivy one last time, hoping to see a glimmer of the person she used to know but all she saw was a twisted reflection of the past.

As they walked out of the facility, the air outside felt heavy with the weight of Ivy's threats.

Lisa's face was pale, her eyes distant. Lian wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close.

"Don't let her get to you, Lisa," he murmured.

"She's locked away. She can't hurt you anymore." He assured.

Lisa nodded, but the fear lingered.

"What if she does get out, Lian? What if she finds a way?"

Lian stopped and turned to face her, his hands on her shoulders.

"Listen to me. Ivy is where she belongs. She's under constant surveillance, and even if she does get out, we'll handle it. You can't live your life in fear of what she might do. We have to move forward."
