The Gods Of Egypt

Darkness, that was all that there was, as it was kind of cold on a night like tonight, as it seemed to be that way in this desert during the night, which is why most of the beings that lived in the area, tended to find shelter during the night, as it usually got to below freezing temperatures as well, none the less, as all of the animals that lived any where near here, were all already safe in side of their nests at this point.

There was no particular reason as to why these scene was set out here, as it was quite a bit cold, and no one in their right mind would want to be out of their nest at this very moment in time, as it was a whole lot safer in side of their homes. There was also another thing that made people fear to go out side in the night as well.

The leaders of all of this land, out in the desert, they were mysterious folk, as no one really knew a thing about them, besides the fact that there were some officials that led all of what they did, and what it was that they were said to do in the first place. The people that did rule this land, they were in fact quite evil people, as they for sure did not have a good mind for the people that lived in the lands.

They mostly used them as slaves, to get them their gold, their buildings, and their food none the less. The people that lived here, were in fact tired of it, but no one was willing to take a stand so it seemed to be. But what did that have to do with the area that the scene was in right now? Well... It really had nothing to do with any of this, as the reason that this scene was going on, was for a completely different reason.

It stayed dark in this area out in the desert for just a little while longer, until it all of the sudden seemed to start to get bright all of the sudden, for some odd reason or another. If any one was out here, and any one could see this right now, than it would for sure cause quite a bit of some stir, and a lot of fright none the less, as no one that lived in these lands had quite seen any thing like this before.

Luckily, they would live to see another day, due to that fact, as any person that was to walk in and see what was going on at this very moment in time, would soon be taken out. After all, that was the reason that it had happened out in the middle of the desert, in the dark of the night none the less, near none of the homes, so that not a single person would be able to see as to what it was that was going on right here.

The bright lights seemed to get brighter and brighter, as it let out quite a loud noise at the exact same time too, that would scare any thing off, or it would wake any thing up, if there was any thing near this spot right now, which was not the case of course, luckily enough for them, as no one dared to go out in to the desert in the night, due to the below freezing temperatures, and also due to the fact that the freaky things came out in the night, that no one still knew what they are, due to the fact that no one lived to ever be able to tell the tale.

It was late in the night now, and normally the creatures would be all up on this right now, as it was clear that it was not hard for them to see at all, nor was in hard to hear, from a very long ways away, but that was not the case at all how ever, as the creatures were in a much different location, as they had more important things to worry about at this point, then the fact that some one might sneak out of their home.

This was different though, as the light was beginning to dim down a little bit, it was clear that the light that had gone oh so bright in the night, were in fact of course, people, but these people that were here at this very moment in time, were a lot different than the normal people that lived here, as their skin was a lot more pale, compared to the rest of the people that lived in this area.

Also, there was the fact that these people were not from this area at all either, as they lived in a much different place than the normal people that lived out in the waste lands of the desert out here. Where they lived at, there was a reason, very much so, as to why their skin was so pale, as their leader ship, and their government was kind of like the ones that led all of the people that lived out in the desert.

That was besides the point how ever, as the focus needed to be on the 2 people that had in fact all of the sudden seemed to pop up in this desert, from out of no where at the exact same time too, as the scene then all of the sudden seemed to get a little bit closer to the people, as 1 was a darker skinned lady, a bit darker skinned than the people that lived out in the desert, but the woman would still fit in with the rest of them of she really tried, which was lucky enough for her.

The other was a man, that had nearly the exact same skin color as the rest of the people that lived out in the desert, as it was lucky enough for him, as he would fit right in with the rest of these people, as he knew for a fact that he would be safe, at least, as soon as he was able to get in some decent clothes that would make them at least some what look like the people that lived out here in the desert in the very first place any ways.

They seemed to be wearing stuff a lot different than the normal robe that the people in the desert wore, as their clothes were a lot more simple, and a lot more ugly none the less, even for the most broke people that lived out in this desert. They knew for a fact at this point, that they needed to find a safe place where they would be able to change them selves out of the clothes that they were wearing at this very moment in time.

The both of them knew it as well, as it seemed like, for some odd reason or another, that they seemed to have a bit of a look of shock on their faces, as they then began to realize just how cold that it was at this very moment in time any ways, as this was not like the normal temperatures of the place that they lived at, at all none the less, even if the place that they lived at, they did not seem to get all too much sun.

The darker skinned female turned her head over to her male counter part, as she squinted her eyes at him at the exact same time too, which did in fact confuse the man quite a bit, as he tilted his head, not all too sure as to what it was that was going on with her at this very moment in time, as it felt like there were a lot more important things going on right now, than the fact that she would be upset with him still over what had happened last time.

The man looked at her for just a little while longer, as he then all of the sudden nodded to the lady, to try to tell her to go ahead and speak out what ever it was that was on her mind right at this very moment in time, as the man had already been bashed hard enough, but if it let the lady get a little bit over her self, and they kept going with what it was that they were trying to do in the first place, than it was perfectly fine with him either way.

The lady stared at him with her eyes squinted for just a little while longer, as she too then all of the sudden sighed a bit softly to her self, as she then all of the sudden nodded back to the man. She was in fact about to speak to him of course, but what it was that she was about to say to him was a lot different than what it was that he might expected, as she did in fact start to speak up to him, as the man did in fact listen as to what it was that she had to say in the first place.

"Listen Cole, we need to get to some safety as soon as possible... The cold is not the only dangerous thing that is out side in this desert right now..." She said to the man, as it was clear that she was pointing out a bit of the obvious, as he then rolled his eyes over at her, which it did not seem like she was paying all too much attention to that at all, due to the fact that her eyes were in a much different place right now, as it was clear that she was trying to view their surroundings, as it was clear that she was more in tune than, Cole was...

Cole seemed at a little bit of a loss of words at this very moment in time, as he had his eyes wide, and he had a bit of a blank look on his face at the exact same time too. The reason for that of course, was the fact that he had thought that she was going to say some thing altogether different than all of that, as she had been very upset at him leading up to the point as to where it was that they were at right at this very moment in time none the less.

Cole let out a bit of a soft sigh to him self, as he then began to breathed in a bit, as he was relieved that she seemed to be over all of what had happened not all too long ago, thankfully now, though he still felt like that might not be the case at all, some where in his mind still, as he did not say a word about any of it at all, as he really did not want to bring it up to her, to remind her all about the reason that she had been so upset with him before all of this any ways.

Cole stared down at the ground for a little while longer, as he then began to rub has hands across his arms, as he felt like he was about to die already, just based off of how cold that it was at this very moment in time, as he continued to use his hand to warm him up, though it did not seem to be working all that well any more, due to the fact that even now, at this point, his hands were also starting to get quite a bit cold to.

Cole finally gave up on all of it, as he then lifted his head up to the lady, only to see that she was staring right back at him, which she had not been doing just a few moments before now, as she had clearly had her eyes out in the middle of no where, just staring at the reflection of the moon, that lit up the entire desert that they were in at this very moment in time as well, as with out it, it would be pitch black.

Cole blinked his eyes at her, as he could not help but to be a little bit shocked by all of this, due to the fact that he had just seen her looking out in to the desert not all too long before now. He shivered just a little bit, as he was not all too sure as to just what it was that was going on right now if he was going to be honest with him self, as he really did not feel like he liked it at all.

Cole shook his head how ever, as he blinked his eyes, doing his best to get his focus off of all that he was thinking on right now, as he knew that they were trying to do some thing that was completely different, as it was some thing that would change all of this at the exact same time as well, as he then all of the sudden lifted her head up to the woman, and he then nodded to her.

She had her eyes squinted at him still, but after just a few seconds, she did in fact nod right back over to Cole, letting him know that it was safe for him to speak, and that she was listening as to what it was that he had to say to her as well. Knowing this, it made Cole feel a lot more safe, as he breathed in heavily, as he then began to speak to her, as she listened as to what it was that he had to say to her in the first place.

"Alright Amelia... You lead the way... I have no idea where we are going..."
