(I) Crimson Red

As soon as we got to the tree house, we started by tending to Rin's injuries. There doesn't seem to be anything to be worried about. I told Rin to rest while I went outside to gather some dried branches to start a bonfire. Because having a bonfire is essential for keeping wild animals away from a tree house.

Since I don't want to venture that far from the tree house, I should try to gather as many dry branches as I can from near as possible. The positive thing is that Browny is guarding Rin; if something happens, I can hear Browny barking.

"Wow…, it must be our fortunate day," I thought to myself as I discovered not one, but two fruit trees with palatable fruit. Goose plums and pawpaws. Both fruits are excellent; the odds are in our favor. After seeing this, I became entirely preoccupied with gathering fruits and lost all sense of time. I don't hear Browny or Rin's voices at all, so I assume everything was alright. After I had gathered enough fruits and branches, I moved in the direction of the tree house.

I didn't expect what I saw when I went inside the tree house, and since I had never seen anything like it before, I wasn't even sure how to react. Browny was trembling, its fur sticking straight like a scared kitten, and Rin was in absolute terror. I don't know what transpired while I was away, but I have never before witnessed Rin in a state of total panic or Browny in fear.

I approached Rin slowly and inquired, "What happened while I was away?" Suddenly, she grabbed my hands and muttered, "Something was under this tree house." She spoke in such a low voice that I was unable to understand her, so I asked her to repeat herself.

As I listened intently, she muttered, "Something was under the tree house," once more. This time I understood what she told and decided to calm Rin and Browny first.

I then turned around to check on Browny, but to our astonishment, we were unable to find him. Browny was undoubtedly present as I walked into the tree house. I instantly decided to walk outside and look for him, but I couldn't leave her alone because of how she was suffering.

We both decided to go outside while holding hands, and when I asked her what had truly happened while I was away, she said that she and Browny had begun to hear a disturbing sound that sounded like someone scraping a metal surface with a sharp object. She also mentioned that she and Browny experienced a strange presence of someone beneath their tree house, which she struggled to put into words.

We both grabbed a piece of firewood to light our path as we set out to find Browny. After taking a few steps, I suddenly heard Browny bark. We both hurried over to the spot, where we discovered Browny digging. Unexpectedly, Browny didn't respond when Rin yelled at him to stop digging and return. Browny usually follows Rin's orders, but this time he appeared to be thinking about something else. As Rin and I approached Browny to see what it was digging for, we noticed a transparent golden rock.

We both reacted, startled by the rock and decided to flee, but it seemed as though our legs were paralyzed by fear. I desperately wanted Rin to get out of this situation, but all I could see when I spoke to Rin to run away was air. There was no sound in my voice.

Although it seems impossible at this point, I want Browny to stop digging. We once again heard the scratching sound, but this time we knew where it was coming from, which just made the scenery worse.

Rin appeared to be shocked upon discovering the rock, I have other thoughts running inside my head. The rock we are discussing and the area where Browny is digging are both the same places where I had previously collected goose plums and pawpaws fruit.

I am currently perplexed because Rin and Browny were the only ones to experience this strange noise, and Rin claimed that it originally came from under the tree house, despite the fact that I was close to the fruit trees the entire time. As a result, I am internally mulling over all of these possibilities.

Rin suddenly began walking toward the rock while I was considering these things. I don't want Rin to approach that rock, but it appears like she was out of her mind when she abruptly started moving in that direction. We eventually arrived close to the golden rock when I decided to follow her as well.

Browny was so preoccupied with digging when I slowly turned to face him and was startled to notice that his eyes were blazing green. I am aware that our current predicament is dire. The thing we saw inside the golden rock, not the golden rock itself, is what made us feel awful. A beast with a pointed tail that was the size of a horse-drawn wagon was also crimson red in colour. His nails were making a scratching noise. We are aware that the creature inside is alive and that it is not a human. How do we know it's alive, you ask? He appears to be completely trapped in the rock, and the only free space he appears to be gaining is close to his hands. We can see him moving his hands.

As Browny continued to scratch the rock with its nail and bash it with its head, the rock began to crack. Suddenly, Rin pointed to a spot on the rock where Browny is making scratches.

All I wanted right now was to wake up from this nightmare, but the reality appears harsh and terrible; it's no longer a dream; it's real, and it's taking place in front of our very eyes. The thing inside the rock started to move more freely as the rock slowly began to crack.

When Rin attempted to restrain Browny, he abruptly turned and growled at Rin. At this point, I doubt Browny is still a normal dog. Rin was instantly stopped by me, and shortly after that, we both heard a loud cracking sound coming from the rock, which by then had completely split open. We are both completely speechless. I initially believed that my hearing had improved tenfold because I can hear both Rin and my heartbeat. Browny suddenly fell unconscious and collapsed; he had lost so much blood from his head that it was not surprising.

"How is he so big?" I thought to myself as I watched the beast slowly approach us: "Are those horns real? " Rin was less concerned about the enormous creature approaching us after seeing Browny. How can she be more concerned about a sleeping dog than concerned about a gigantic monster? I guess being an airhead is actually handy sometimes. I wanted Rin to run away when the enormous red beast stopped nearby, but it appears that she was as frozen by fear as I was. Browny was being held by Rin in her arms. Slowly bending its head towards Rin's direction, the crimson beast opened its jaws and roared loudly. The roar was so powerful that it can cause the entire town to quiver in terror.
