19 Chapter 19: The Damsel in Distress

Nathan White's POV

After I have been outside of the chains, I went to the control room through the ventilation system of the warehouse. I mean, it was old and dusty but it made a really good hideout when I saw Sabrina was fighting the goons after the hologram of Celine was out. I went to find the control room as I went to the west wing of the warehouse. I was on top of the room when I saw Celine was giving orders to her goons.

"Don't let her escape to the rooftop before I said so," she said before she was gone to the rooftop, I assumed. I went to kick the hood off from the ventilation before I jumped down and took down the goons that were in the control room.

"Hello boys," I said before I threw the daggers to them. I then picked it up again after their lifeless bodies were laying on the floor.

"Okay, let's see where they are," I said as I saw some of the room were full of chambers that were looking like figurines and shit.

"Okay, we need to get this thing out of this world. No one should know about this," I said as I increased the temperature of the room making the chambers melted away and the figurines as well.

"Now, onto the other matter," I said as I saw someone was coming through the door. I picked up the gun on one of the goons before I killed the incomer.

"amateur," I said before taking some guns and ammo from the dead bodies. I carried some daggers as well, who knew it might be useful.

"Now, let's roll. Great, now I'm talking to myself," I said before I rolled out of the control room as I set the self-destruct to 30 minutes. I also have told the HQ where we were so that they can get us afterward.

I went to the rooftop as I knew Sabrina has not done yet with her fighting. I went through the ventilation system again as I knew Celine would not expect me to get out of the chamber yet. I knew that because she just showed the clip of me being tortured by her just now to Sabrina that made her enraged.

"I better get there to stop her from making any mistake," I whispered to myself as I knew it would be so easy to distract Celine. I was hiding in the vent when suddenly the south door, the only door that leads to rooftop access was kicked by Sabrina. I cannot what they were talking about but I knew that Celine has upgraded herself. She was moving faster than any other human being that I have ever encountered until Sabrina was flying through the air as I knew she was defeated. I need to get in there but how.

"who's going to save you now?" Celine shouted to Sabrina as I can saw her hand were sticking the knife inside her. She was screaming and before I could react to the situation, my hand went toward the dagger and threw it on Celine's arm. Bullseye!

"argh!" She screamed as she went back a few steps as she was stumbling to get the dagger out of her arm. Sabrina has been unconscious when I arrived at her side as I looked down on her condition. She was bleeding furiously before I turned to look at Celine. Celine took out the dagger as her hand was bent but it was reshaping itself.

"do you like it? My new upgrade will help me defeat you, not like 3 years ago," she said as she was getting ready to fight me.

"I thought you were just a coward that shield herself behind someone else," I said as I looked at her. We were circling as we were waiting for someone to get started on the fight. I was calculating in my head as I knew that I need to stall for some time before I can get Sabrina and get out of here, alive.

"so, what's the hold-up? I thought you were as good as 3 years ago," she said as she was cracking her neck and looked at me wildly.

"who knows? I might be better," I said before I threw some daggers. She avoided it but I took the guns and shot at her. She was avoiding all of it but I cannot use the secret weapon now.

"you're sloppy, white. Is it because your girlfriend was here?" She said as she went from side to side as quick as lightning. I threw some daggers but she caught my neck and gripped me. I was losing my breath as I knew I did not string enough to take her one on one.

"aw, poor little White. You might want your girlfriend now, don't you?" Celine said as I was gasping for air.

"you know what your weakness is?" I asked as she arched an eyebrow at me.

"You talk too much," I said before I stuck a needle than contained the antidote of her new upgrade into her bloodstream.

"ah!" She screamed as the antidote flow automatically into her body.

"you! You!" She said as she pointed at me. I smirked as I landed on the ground.

"do you like it? I made some modification to that so you would not have any more specialties than a human being," I said as I went to Sabrina's side. I picked her up bridal style before I went toward the edge of the rooftop. I turned to look at her as she was gasping for air.

"au revoir, connarde," I said as I went to jump with Sabrina in my hand. I took out her hook and stuck it to the building as I jumped to the ground. It helped me to land on my feet. I walked out of the situation before the building exploded, throwing me off and Sabrina to the ground.

"ugh," I said as I went flying through the air. I landed on the grassland mash with Sabrina by my side. I looked at the air there were helicopters from the HQ that shone lights on the fire and us. I closed my eyes as I can sense that I was sleeping away to the darkness.

My mind has been in a wondrous place with someone by my side. I was walking across the beach as I was laughing with this person. She has a red mane, glossing across the sunset as I can see her smile. I was smiling as well. I was holding her hands and her laughter filled my heart. I was caressing her cheeks as I was pulling her closer and closer to kiss her.

"White," a voice coming inside my head before I was opening my eyes slowly. I saw my director was looking at me strangely as I was pulling him to kiss him. I instantly released him before he was holding his necktie.

"Sorry, I must have been dreaming," I said as I was getting to lean on the bed.

"It must be a good one then. Kissing me all of a sudden," I shrugged as I knew I was blushing.

"right, onto business now. We have received the body of Celine Dubois from the explosion as you know. I would say a good job but I won't because you have broken the law," he said as he went to the window to look outside the hospital.

"You have been dishonorably discharged. I'm sorry to say that, Nathan," he said as he turned to look at me. I knew this would happen. I can only sigh now.

"I understand, sir. I will resign from the CIA," I said as I looked at him. He nodded before I spoke again.

"just one, what happened to Red Arrows?" I asked him as he stopped in front of my bed.

"they will be disbanded. Nothing will ever come from that organization anymore. Alfred will behold for his account of involvement if we know where they are now," he said as I looked at him.

"what do you mean by that, sir?" I asked him as I was confused by his answer. He sighed as he went to sit at the waiting chair.

"the night when you were unconscious, we went to put you both in hospital. I handcuffed her for illegal operation," he said before I looked at him.

"but I went there as well illegally. You can't do that to her only," I said as I looked at the old man.

"I know but the Red Arrows were the vigilantes that we, the CIA, have been looking for so long. now, with the chance that we have, we need to get them out and disband them," he said as he took an apple and eat it.

"that was for me, you know," I said before he just shrugged at me.

"Whatever, I want it and I bought for you," he said before getting up from the chair and went to the door.

"I'm sorry about the discharge. Your father wouldn't want that for you," he said as he stopped at the door. I waved at him as I looked outside the window.

"Maybe that's the best for me," I said as the old man slipped away and I was left alone, wondering where could Sabrina be.
