Chapter 1PROLOGUE: BETRAYED

Trash!!. That was what everyone called me. I was trash. At 24, I was stuck at F rank. The lowest rank any mana cultivator could have. So low that I couldn't even get a skill. Most people my age were already at C rank . But no matter how much I tried, I could never pass F rank .

I was so weak that I soon became an object of ridicule and a punching bag . People took turns in bullying me even those who were younger than me. Life was a constant pain.

Because I was weak, I couldn't become a dungeon hunter. This was because I couldn't even survive the weakest monster's blow. It was that bad.

Knowing that I couldn't become a dungeon hunter, I took another path and became a businessman. I took over my parent's cafe when they passed away. It was the only thing they had left for me before they died.

But amidst these dark clouds, there was a silver lining__ or so I thought .

Ruth Lashfield. The love of my life.

She was a very beautiful dungeon hunter who always visited the cafe.

We struck a conversation once and that led to friendship. I later found out that I had feelings for her and I asked her out .

She said yes and became my lover .

It still took me by surprise anytime I wondered what brought us together. She was a C rank hunter meanwhile I was just a mere F rank.

Many men tried to woo her but she stuck with me .

As they say, love is blind__ or maybe I was blind.

As our relationship grew stronger, so did our trust for each other .

One day, Ruth came running to me in tears.

" I am in debt, the creditors are threatening my life", she sobbed.

" How much do you need?" I asked.

" I million", she cried.

One million!!! I opened my mouth in shock. Even my whole cafe and my savings weren't up to 100,000 Rance*(* currency used in the story).

" I didn't think I...........", she didn't let me finish as she burst into tears again. I couldn't bear to see her like this . It was sad

So I did the craziest thing I had ever done in my life .

" I'll give you all I have", I said" 100,000 Rance."

" You are giving me everything, darling", She asked innocently.

" Everything", I replied.

She hugged me and wiped her tears.

" Thanks honey".

" no problem", I kissed her forehead.

I gave Ruth everything I had. I didn't even care if the Cafe fell or if I had nothing to eat. Just as long as my love was happy.

------------------------------------------------

Two days later, I tried calling Ruth but her number didn't go through. I panicked thinking something had happened to her. I feared that the people she owed had come to take her away.

I continued calling but she didn't answer. So I decided to check on her.

When I got to her door, I knocked but no one answered. This increased my fear. I barged into the room, what I saw left me speechless .

There Ruth was, naked, her head on the laps of a muscular Man who was stroking her hair .

" Ruth!!!!", I screamed after regaining myself.

She looked up and didn't even seem fazed by my appearance.

" Do I know you?", she asked lazily.

What did she mean by that.

" Ruth what the hell are you doing?", I exclaimed.

The muscular Man looked at me with anger and hate .

" Who the f*ck are you?", he asked.

" I'm her boyfriend", I said" who are you?".

The Man glared at me as Ruth laughed.

" Boyfriend? you? c'mon honey, this is my boyfriend", she pointed to the muscular Man.

I opened my mouth in shock.

" what... do..... you mean?" I stammered " what about those times we shared ".

" You've been conned Mister", the Man said.

Conned? what did he mean?. I was confused.

" That whole thing was all a lie, why would I, a powerful rank C hunter fall for a measly trash like you? All I wanted was your money", she sniggered.

What?

" you are joking right? please tell me this is a prank", I pleaded.

" It's no prank mister, I am her boyfriend", the man said " Now get the fuck outta here".

I had been played!!

" shut up", I shouted in anger and made to punch the Man who had gotten up and was ready to push me out.

My fist didn't reach their target as the man caught my hand mid air.

He gave me a dirty jab to my jaw and I staggered backwards falling face flat.

He began raining punches on my face as I coughed out blood.Turns out that the guy had a hardening skill .

He had made his fist twice hard, dealing double damage.

Ruth looked at the whole scene giggling. The bitch!!!!

That day, I received the beating of my life as they kicked me out. I ran home in shame and bruises.

I cursed myself that day, I was the one that brought this up on my self. I was thinking there was a place for a weakling like my in this world. I couldn't take it anymore. Nothing else mattered to me and life seemed unbearable due to the fact that I was now broke.

What was I even living for? I wondered. I reached for a knife in the kitchen and stabbed myself with it.

-----------------------------------------

That was the day I died. But it was also the beginning after the end for me.

A/N: Although this chapter is written in first person narrative, the other chapters would constantly switch between first person and third person narratives.

Young Master's PoV: Woke Up As A Villain In A Game One Day

"Now you see?" she shouted in a tone that was somewhere between annoyance and disappointment. "You can’t outsmart Scrients! They’re the most intelligent beings across the two realms!" "You’re right," I muttered, averting my gaze with a solemn sigh. "I made a mistake. I was arrogant to think a mere human like me could fool them." —BOOM!! "...Wh-What was that?" "Hmm? I’m not sure. Maybe you should go and ask the most intelligent beings across the two realms. Oh wait! You can’t. I killed them all." --- My name is Samael Kaizer Theosbane. On the last day of high school, I got into a fight with a kid I used to bully. It was a stupid and pointless scuffle. And in the middle of it, I tripped and smacked my head on a rock. That’s when the memories came flooding in… Memories of a different life. Memories of another world. Suddenly, everything made a twisted kind of sense. I realized two things. First: I was inside a game I used to play in my past life. Second: I was a villain. A villain! Not the cool, mysterious, tragic kind either! No, I was the worst kind of cliché — a spoiled, insufferable, and arrogant young master. The sort you'd find in those poorly written fantasy stories. You know the type! The one everyone hates. The one the hero would beat into the ground to show everyone just how strong and righteous he is. Yeah. I was that guy! My fate was to be a stepping stone for the main characters, be manipulated by a Demon Prince, and die a dog's death. And the hero? The hero was the same kid I’d been bullying all this time. The one I just got into a fight with. He was supposed to be the savior of this damned world. A world teetering on the edge of destruction, beset by wars, calamities, and a grim future that only I knew. And waiting at the end of it all was the final antagonist. The unbeatable nightmare. …The Spirit King. But could I even make it to the end? Could I really survive in a game where defeat was the only certainty? A game that had now become my reality? “Ah, fuck it.” I had no idea if I could. But I sure as hell was going to try. Extorting extras, manipulating main characters, altering the story to my advantage, stealing the hero’s cheat items, killing villains long before they could become threats — nothing was beneath me. Would the main characters be affected by my actions? Excellent! Would the story change? Even better! All I cared about was me. My survival. My life. My choices. “I’ll live this life with no regrets.” ...But as I soon discovered, fate wasn't so easily changed. And the price of rewriting your destiny was steep. ========== Discord Server: https://discord.gg/VjFQtDUaTR

Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!
