Saviour

The summer breeze was back, it has already been a week. I tugged my black hair behind my ear, I need a hair cut. I let out a breath, praying that the week that I missed wasn't that important.

My white converse rubbed against the cemented pathway. I was already 8 blocks away from my house, I dug my nails on the black fabric of my school bag.

Last year the school was hard, hoping that the next two would be better I moved, slowly and swiftly, wishing that along with dead leaves on the payment I was leaving every moment of last year behind, it hadn't been all bad but wasn't that great either. I stopped on my path, the sorrows of the cries I let out in the corner of the room came rushing back. I shook my head, now is not the time.

Let's get this over with!

The first day of high school sucks already, oh why? Because everyone is ready and going for it and on top of that everyone has friends and family they can rely on. My family? call it more of a drama club.

But that's not even the worst part, the worst part is I am a week late. I moved in yesterday, came back actually, back to my toxic family. I lived with my grandparents, was actually happy there my family had sent me there because they couldn't support my real self, but now they want me back for some strange reason. Whatever at least I have a friend here, my only and best 'friend'. Jacob. He was my friend since childhood and we did keep in touch while I was away, that is 3 years to be exact."What's up Dead Head," Jay said, well practically yelled in my ear.

What is with this guy and nicknames and don't even get me started with the yelling. "Hello to you too Sparkle boy," I said.

"So? excited?" he asked. "Me? Excited? For School? no, not gonna happen in this lifetime. Who the hell is excited for school on a hellish Monday morning!" I said, as we walked towards his car to go to the school I live in the woods which is way better than having sunlight mix with smoke and get it served in your eyes and nostrils every morning, he decided to pick me up, and he IS ACTUALLY an excellent driver.

He gave me a why-do-you-always-have-to-be-like-this look. He didn't say anything though cause no one can win over me in criticism I have that dark talent in my blood I always end up saying something which hurts people, not that I care though. Alright, alright I do care about Jacob.

"Sorry, bro. It's just everything has been happening too fast lately and I don't feel like talking too," I said. "No worries Nic. I kinda missed this you know." He said with a reassuring smile. He didn't mind when I didn't give the smile back. I never smile.

I think I would never understand the relation of giving someone such a special part of you, your smile. As we sat in his car he started babbling about what's up in the school, not that I care, but eventually, I started saying, hmm, k, sure.

We ended up in school in a few minutes.

Whispering was the only thing we can hear then,

Everyone was talking about some guy who was good with sports or something. I looked at Jay with a confused look and then he explained while we got to the school campus.

"There is this kid who popped up last year and was great with sports. And this year in the sports team he got the captainship of three school teams and I am in one of them too. The best thing is though, that this school never won any championships and because of this man we won 7 gold medals. He is like the savior of Good day high and I really like that guy He is fast, accurate, and like a cherry on top he is very kind and sweet." He explained with a smile. I rolled my eyes, I have no intention of fanning a meat sack running on steroids.

We reached the campus, the big ground was separated by the palm trees, turning my head to the left I say banners of the sports meet and the guys cheering for each other, in the hallway the kids where separated by boundaries of society, the mean in front of the lockers, eating gum and talking about someone, the geeks where on the corner, holding their books, whispering about some test. Then I saw something rather unsettling, there was a guy standing behind a palm tree, looking directly towards me with a burning glare, I adjusted my bag and tried to look somewhere else.

I turned my head and asked Jay to show me the office he pointed in the corner, where the hallway met the cafe, I walked towards it, slowly avoiding all the stares, Ah! the perks of being new! I rolled my eyes and grabbed the handle, was just about to turn it when all the whispers died down and I saw everyone's face turn to the opposite end of the hall where Someone "I AM LATE! I AM *oops*" I turned I didn't saw his face, it appears as if he has bumped into someone and then he turned towards me eyes closed shut. He came close to me was just about to say something but tripped his toe and fell dragging me with him. He landed on his back and me on his chest. Goddammit, this boy has abs.

I looked up still on the ground. "ouch...." he said in a dragging tone. His voice was sweet and filled with audacity. And then He opened his eyes and my head started to spin.

"Holy Shit! " I said looking into his eyes.

Turquoise! frecking turquoise.

He smiled.

Nose bleed.
