The Chu family residence.
Bai Dong and Chu Zhenting were playing Go when they saw Chu Yichen enter, carrying a little girl in his arms. Bai Dong was so shocked that the chess piece she was holding fell to the ground.
In the past, her son despised children and thought that they were troublesome. But now, he was carrying a child in his arms.
"Son, whose child is that in your arms?" she asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, whose child is it?" Chu Zhenting also spoke, his heart filled with anticipation. He wondered if it was because of his wife's constant lament, but he had started yearning for a grandchild. After all, they were feeling bored.
Chu Yichen instructed the servant beside him in a low voice, "Go upstairs and prepare a child's room."
