During breakfast, Roman West kept talking to Crystal, Roman West didn't pay any attention to the stares of everyone who was disturbed by his conversation with Crystal. For Roman, who had long dreamed of the presence of a woman who was Reagan's companion, Crystal's existence seemed so meaningful, that's why he immediately tried to familiarize himself with the shy girl who was sitting right beside him.
"You've got to finish your whole meal," Roman West said guiltily as he added a super juicy piece of chicken breast onto Crystal's plate which was still full of untouched food. "Today you have a busy schedule, so you need a lot of energy for that."
Crystal's eyes were perfectly rounded looking at the mountain of amazingly delicious food in front of her eyes at this time, in the past Crystal would have immediately devoured all of the food without any leftovers. But now that she certainly couldn't do that, her status as Reagan West's wife in the eyes of everyone had to be properly guarded.
"I can't eat this much food alone, grandpa," Crystal said politely.
Roman West raised an eyebrow. "You can't, why can't you?"
Crystal lowered her head slightly. "My body can expand like a donut if I eat too much and Reagan..."
Reagan's body straightened up when Crystal said his name.
"What about Reagan?" interrupted Roman West quickly.
"Reagan won't love me anymore if I get like that, grandpa," Crystal continued in a sad tone. Crystal's whole body felt cold; she didn't know if the act she just did was successful or not. Crystal just spontaneously did that, she couldn't think of any other answer than to include Reagan as an excuse to refuse the food that was on her plate.
Roman West unexpectedly turned to Reagan. "Reagan!!! You've gone too far."
"Hah?"
"Grandpa didn't teach you to be such an immoral man." Roman West raised his voice three octaves. "How can you ask your wife to keep her diet like that, can't you see that your wife is already very thin? You really disappoint grandpa."
Not only was Reagan shocked to death, Ariel and her parents who had only been good listeners also looked shocked when they heard Roman West's unexpected words. The three of them did not expect the crippled man to speak so loudly to his beloved grandson.
"From now on you are no longer allowed to forbid Crystal to eat, Crystal is free to eat whatever she likes and wants. If grandfather hears again you forbid Crystal to eat in order to keep her body slim then don't blame grandfather if grandfather will punish you," added Roman West return.
Reagan, who did not expect Crystal's acting to have such a big effect, looked very shocked when he heard the threat from his grandfather who was not kidding, Reagan knew that at this time his grandfather was really very angry with him. Really? Just a few words from Crystal his grandfather could be this angry! Crystal is really talented.
Feeling that he had no appetite, Roman West then quickly wiped his lips with a handkerchief and placed it on his dinner plate which still contained a few pieces of meat roughly.
"James."
James, who had been standing behind Roman West, immediately stepped forward towards Roman West. "I am sir."
"We're leaving now, suddenly I'm full," said Roman West hoarsely.
"Yes sir," James answered quickly, as quickly as his hands touched the push handles on Roman West's wheelchair. Actually the Roman West wheelchair is the most sophisticated type of wheelchair that can be moved by touch, but while at home James took over the task of the engine on the Roman West wheelchair and chose to push manually.
Roman West's angry look vanished as soon as he turned his gaze to Crystal who had his lips locked tightly together.
"Grandfather isn't mad at you, honey," Roman West said softly, very gently. "I'm sorry Grandpa for making you have an ignorant husband like Reagan, but don't worry as long as Grandpa is around then you don't have to keep your weight down anymore. You're allowed to eat whatever you like, Reagan has no right to stop you anymore."
Crystal nodded slowly with her lips still tightly locked, Crystal chose to remain silent for fear of saying the wrong thing.
"Good, now come with grandpa. Grandpa wants to take you somewhere fun."
Crystal's eyes changed quickly when she heard the last words that came out of Roman West's lips. "Fun place?" he repeated unconsciously.
Roman West pursed his lips. "Yeah and Grandpa won't tell you the name of the place right now, I'm sure you'll like it. So let's go."
Without hesitation Crystal got up from the chair she was sitting in, but before that one thing happened that shocked Reagan and the Austin family. In a graceful and graceful motion, Crystal grabbed the handkerchief that was on her lap and immediately wiped her lips with it. What Crystal just did was a meal etiquette usually done by those rich people or nobles who were used to doing it continuously and Crystal was just doing it with ease, as if Crystal was used to doing it every day. And it wasn't just Reagan and the Austin family who saw that, Roman West's old eyes also caught a glimpse of what Crystal was doing.
Roman West cleared his throat and instructed James to immediately take him away from the large dining room, James who understood every detail of his master's orders immediately pushed the black wheelchair towards the exit followed by Crystal who walked slowly. Reagan's reverie of Crystal dissipated when Ariel slammed her knife and fork hard against her plate.
"Ariel." Laura reminded her only daughter gently.
"I suddenly lost my appetite, Mom," Ariel said curtly, her eyes fixed on Reagan who was also staring at her.
"But you haven't touched your food yet honey, you could get sick if..."
"I said I'm not hungry Mommy!" Ariel shouted loudly, her blue eyes immediately filled with tears that were ready to fall. "I'm full of seeing the behavior of the newlyweds in this house."
Laura clenched her fists, she finally understood where her only daughter was talking about. "Ariel…
Before Laura could finish her words, the annoyed and angry Ariel immediately got up from the chair she was sitting in and immediately ran towards the garden leaving everyone with tears streaming down her face.
"Ariel..."
"Let me take care of it." Reagan cut Laura's words quickly, as fast as his movement left the dining table following Ariel with Jarvis following behind.
A confused Laura prepared to get up, but Austin's touch on her arm instantly made Laura cancel her intention
"Leave it alone, things will get a lot more interesting if we don't interfere," Austin said calmly..
"But Reagan is after Ariel and it's going to be a lot harder for Ariel to get out of Reagan at this rate, Austin," Laura said loudly.
Austin pursed his lips. "I know, but rest assured that this will benefit us."
"What do you mean?"
Austin wiped his lips with a handkerchief. "Human feelings are the hardest things to understand. You and I want to use that to smooth out our plans, so don't do anything. Let everything flow as it is, I'm sure the closeness of Reagan and Ariel will bring great benefits to us in the future."
