Signing the contract.

"This was found in your apartment," Marie pulled the chloroform out. "care to explain why you knocked your friend out with the same substance?"

Did he have a crush on August?! What was with the intense stare?! He glanced at her then looked down at his hands.

"You attempted to kill two officers, you're looking at fifteen years without bail." Marie said, "I can wave this off, but I need you to talk. Who told you to wipe the footage?"

His eyes stayed oh his hands. Marie sighed. Fine, jail it was.

"Mr Whyte,"

Marie furrowed her brows; that got a reaction; he looked scared.

"I know he's related to Scorpion Inc. He doesn't work there, he's not the owner," August continued. "Who is he?"

Rob looked around frantically. What was he searching for? His eyes stopped at the camera and he began foaming in the mouth. "Shit!" Marie rushed to him, "call a medic!"

How?! Wasn't he searched?!

This was their only lead damnit!

He was gone. She facepalmed and ran a hand through her hair. "I told you to call a medic," she said.

"Cyanide. There was no point,"

She knew that! Of course she knew that, it didn't make it any less frustrating.

"Who Mr Whyte?"

"That's what I'd like to know," he dusted his suit and got up. "We need a stretcher and a body bag," he said to the guard outside.

"What do you know about Mr Whyte?" She asked,

"He has no qualms killing people. That's all." He said

"And he wants you dead," Marie turned to camera. Rob was fixated on it before he died. Was he watching?

"You think he's watching?"

She jumped at the whisper. "Don't do that!"

Lab officers came and wheeled Rob away. Did he have family? They could start there.

When the officers left, she gestured him to lower himself; an amused glint crossed his eyes.

"He was searched," she said and August raised a brow. "If he had cyanide we would have found it." He nodded along.

Marie wanted to knock this billionaire, "someone gave it to him!" She whispered sharply

"Any suspects Lieutenant?" He asked cooly.

"You already knew.." Marie said.

"And here I thought your officers were incompetent. You're smart," he said. Second time, in one day.

His phone buzzed, "I have to go," he said and rushed out the door.

"Take his offer,"

Kelly sat in the library musing over Damian's words. Brie warned her not to, Damian said it was the only way she'd get justice. Was he right?

He came showing CCTV of Gregory driving repeatedly to Raven's Creek, the month before his his death. His experiments were elsewhere yet he drove there everyday, why?

"I'll protect you. You have no reason to fear the Clines,"

Kelly hummed and picked her phone.

"Hi," she said, "Mr Jeffery?"

"Yes," his aged voice came through.

"This is Kelly Richardson. About your offer.." he'd approached her earlier reminding her of the contract and handing a phone number.

"I accept. But I'll only sign the contract with Mr August,"

They set a meeting place and that was that. Kelly got in earlier and waited August's arrival. She needed to get into his house, get Gregory's files on the experiments and they'd know what to do.

Gregory had a place he did experiments. How would she convince him to let her stay freely in his house?

August apologized as he took a seat. "Jeffery said you wanted to meet,"

Kelly steeled her resolve; her plan was to get those files and get out. "I'll sign the contract," she said and he nodded curtly. He brought out a file.

Wow. He was prepared the file already.

"Miss Richardson." He began. "I hope you know I have no reason to hurt you. I need you," he said, "you will live at my house during this experiment, do you agree?"

Kelly sighed, that was easy, "I do," she took the contracts and signed that. Now, she was a resident of Cline Manor. This was starting off easy.

Kelly called Damian when she's left. He sent a car for her. The driver wouldn't tell where they were headed and neither would Damian. She didn't like this.

They entered Ero mountains and Kelly got more anxious. Did she feel unnatural? Was this it?

They got to an isolated compound. What was with him and isolation? The driver ushered her in and shut the door, locking it from the outside.

Her boots echoed, the halls were dimly lit. Was she to keep moving forward?

"Damian?" She called.

Kelly got to the end of the hallway. There was a door.

"Damian." She said noticing his bright eyes in the room; the air around him was tensed. If he was in a bad mood, she could just leave,

"Sit," her hand paused over the door handle.

"Are you okay?" She asked, taking a seat close to the door. She'd been more cautious since he hurt and threatened to kill her.

She finally signed it. Phew.
