Grace fell silent, sat on the edge of the bed, and stared straight ahead. Noticed her bedroom window had not been closed.

But she remembered what she and her grandfather had talked about.

"Grandpa?"

"Yes, dear?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure. You can ask whatever you want. And I'll answer it."

"But this has something to do with your hobby. I want to ask, do you have to use a special weapon to kill wild animals? Because I see there are some unusual weapons that you always carry when you want to hunt"

"I haven't been hunting wild animals all this time. But something else"

"Something else?"

"You should know, that living in this world is not only humans. But there are other creatures that live side by side with us"

"You mean a ghost?"

"No. But other creatures are more dangerous than that. They can kill a lot of humans so quickly. And they are Vampires and Werewolves"

"Vampires and werewolves?"

"Yes. I'm sure you've heard of them."

"But they are not real! They only exist in movies and novels"

"You're wrong, honey. They're real, not just a myth as we know it. And they're very dangerous. That's why I hunted them. But if you don't believe me, then that's okay. I won't force you."

"Can you prove it to me?"

"Sure. I will take you when I go hunting and you will meet them"

"Sometimes I still can't believe that creatures that I only think of as myths are actually real and live together with humans in this world. The funny thing is that I hunt them like my grandfather did" she mumbled. Then she sighed and rose from her position. But her forehead is wrinkled as she looked at the lit-up screen of her cell phone.

She immediately walked over and picked up the thing that was on the nightstand.

"Cam?" she said when she saw a name popping up on her phone screen. "He doesn't usually call me at night like this," she continued.

Then she answered the call and put the phone to her ear.

"Hi, Grace"

"Hi, Cam. What's wrong?" she asked, sitting up on the edge of the bed.

"Nothing. I just wanted to chat with you. Are you busy?"

"No." Grace shook her head.

"If I may ask, what are you doing?"

"I'm just sitting in my bedroom and enjoying the night," Grace replied, placing one hand on her chest.

"Oh, I see. By the way how about tomorrow we go to school together? I'll pick you up"

"Sorry, but I can't." Grace shook her head. "Because as you know, almost every day Kaylee would come to my house to pick me up. And we would go to school together" she said, looking straight ahead.

"Then after this, I will call her and tell her not to come to your house tomorrow. Because we will go to school together"

"No need, Cam," Grace said, lowering her head. "The distance from your house to mine is quite far. Farther than the distance to school. So you shouldn't have to do it"

Cam sighed. "Okay, if you don't want to. I won't force you. But if you need a ride or anything don't hesitate to tell me. Because I will help you. Even though we're not together anymore"

Grace smiled. "Sure, I'll tell you. Thanks, Cam. You're a nice guy, and I hope you find a good girl too" she said.

"You're welcome, Grace. Then good night, have a nice dream. And see you tomorrow."

"Good night, Cam. And see you later," Grace replied, nodding her head with a smile that didn't fade from her face.

Then she put the phone away from her ear when she heard the sound of the phone being disconnected.

"Do you know?" Grace said, causing Kaylee to glance at her. "Yesterday Cam came to my house"

"He came to your house?" Kaylee frowned and turned to Grace. "What for?"

"He said he just wanted to chat with me" Grace replied looking straight ahead. "He also asked, did I go home on foot? Because he saw you coming home alone. And I told him that I was go home with Theo. Because he asked me to go home with him. Then he asked, why didn't I refuse? I was surprised because he suddenly said that. But he immediately apologized and said that he didn't mean to say that."

"Did you ask him why he said that?" Kaylee asked, turning to Grace.

"No." Grace shook her head. "Because I thought maybe he was just a reflex and didn't mean anything. Then at night he called me and asked me to go to school with him today. But I refused because I had to go with you"

"I think he still loves you," Kaylee said, looking straight ahead and causing Grace to turn. "And he said that because he was jealous. That's why he asked you to go with him. Because he was afraid that you would go with the new student."

"Why do you come to such a conclusion?" Grace asked, looking at her friend and frowning.

"Because he asked why you didn't refuse the new student's offer. Then he suddenly called you and asked you to go to school with him" Kaylee replied turning to Grace. "You should know, a man who still loves his ex-girlfriend will not let another man approach the girl who once filled his days. He will do anything to win back his ex's heart" she continued, averting her eyes and staring at the road that was passed.

But Grace was silent, turned to stare ahead without saying anything.

"If I may ask, how do you feel about Cam? Do you still love him?" Kaylee asked, turning to Grace and snapping her out of her reverie.

Grace sighed. "How many times do I have to tell you? That I don't have any feelings for him anymore" she said, staring straight ahead.

"Are you sure?" Kaylee raised an eyebrow and made Grace glance at her. "If you still love him then don't lie to yourself. Tell him honestly that you still love him before he is owned by another woman"
